Arrived mid day on a Thursday for celebration of major life event. Only other patrons were leaving. Waitress quick to assist us initially & throughout our stay. Kitchen had just closed but we were told we could order anything off lunch menu. 2 of 5 of us ordered food (salad & a burger) which were served quickly; both meals were... More

Great place to have small office party, business dinners, socialize with friends. The price is high, but service and food was wonderful. I ordered the Surf N Turf - delicious! The blue cheese palenta was tasty, but I couldn't finish my plate. The cinnamon cheesecake was good. My favorite dessert was the raspberry sorbet, and the walnut pear tart.

Dan Butler's food is reliably excellent in all his restaurants, and perhaps especially at this seafood focused venue. It's also convenient to anything you might be doing in downtown Wilmington in the evening - DuPont Theater, The Grand, Jazz Festival, etc. Try it, you'll like it.

On the pricy side, Deep Blue is the best table we have tried downtown. The bar as you enter is welcoming and always busy. The dining room is spacious has quite a few tables but does not feel crowded. Food is delicious, the tuna poke in their smalldish list is just amazing (tuna, avocado on a wasabi jelly).

We went to this place before a comedy show in downtown Wilmington. the apps were amazing, but the entree of crab cakes were a joke. Expensive for Mrs Pauls type crab cakes. Kind of a shame as this place had a crap load of hype, but seriously avoid the crab cakes. The cost was $175 with tip for 2 people.

It had been a few years since my wife and I last visited Deep Blue. We made reservations for a Saturday night but didn't need them. (Although it does get crowded when there is a show in town.) We each had a drink - she a glass of red wine and me a martini. She started with the spinach salad... More

Staying one night at the nearby Sheraton and ventured out to eat and lucked into Deep Blue. Walked in at 6:30 and the bar area was full and quite lively with the after work crowd. I tried an Alaskan king crab leg tempura appetizer and salad that was both very interesting and delicious. For my main course, I had a... More

Deep Blue remains my favorite in Wilmington, Delaware, even after twelve years of dining here. It is an easy walk from the Hotel DuPont, serves terrific cocktails and seafood that is creatively and flavorfully prepared. Keep your ears open around the bar and you might hear tales of one of the big corporate mergers gone awry being litigated in Delaware's... More

My husband and I have traveled extensively, and we both agreed that our lunch a week ago at Deep Blue was one of the best meals we have had anywhere ever. For appetizer and entree, I had 2 items that were specials: chilled gazpacho, and then a piece of fresh fish, broiled to perfection, served on a bed of Asian... More

I am going to put this as simply as I can. One of the best meals I have ever had. The Halibut is amazing. The chef that has been here for the past four months would be making 250k in New York. Everything I have eaten is so thoughtfully prepared...In other words run don't walk here. Aboslutely fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
