Perfect before the Grand

Great location as we had tickets for the Grand across the street so it was very convenient. I thought the food was very good here. We ordered a selection of the appetizers and main entrees, we were quite a large group and this was handled well. The calamari was exceptional as was the butternut squash soup and pear salad. The fish and chips was generous in size and crisp and tasty. I think this is a local... More

I am never disappointed when I eat here. They are always consistent! The farm burger is really good and my daughter loves their shrimp! They also have a huge selection of beer! Def try the brunch sometime too!

Chealea's has a lovely beer list but the bar is cramped. The food is OK if a little heavy and unimaginative. I go every so often before the theatre as it's convenient, but it's just basic eating with no frills. But if you are hungry and in downtown Wilmington then it's not bad.

We ate dinner here prior to seeing a revue of the "boss" at the World Cafe. Its always a great atmosphere, excellent wait staff and the manager is checking on everyone to see if we need anything else. My husband asked about a new beer and the waiter came over with a small taste - it wasn't to my husbands... More

Went there because it was right across the street from the Grand Opera House. Service was slow and there was no one in the restaurant at the time either. Well maybe 6 tables had people sitting in them. Food had no taste more like cafeteria seasoning for the price. Two people with just some small appetizers and entrée and a... More

There is ample street parking here, and the place is easy to find. The restaurant is surprisingly large, with a basement level (for functions?) almost as large as the main level. Service is good and friendly. Lunch menu has enough variety of sandwiches and salads to suit your needs. Food is prepared well, and the prices are very reasonable. They... More

We dined at Chelsea prior to attending a concert at the Grand Opera House. This was not the first time we dined there, but it was the first time we both ordered full meals with appetizer and dessert. The food was fresh and very tasty and made exactly as ordered. My wife had the Grilled Salmon. It was the best... More

I had written a fantastic review last month about the Chelsea Tavern. Even though it was at 7:00 with a large crowd service was just okay. I went back for lunch a few weeks later and really realized how poor the service is and need to update my review. Three of us went at 12:30 in the afternoon and ordered... More

I had the lunch special fish tacos. The blackened seasoning was pretty good. I am frequently disappointed by attempts at a "blackened" anything in the northeast... Anyway, the Spanish rice served with it was also pleasantly spicy. Their selection of draft beer is amazing and diverse.
