Good pub food

This bar/restaurant had decent pub food-appetizers, salads and burgers. The service is good and they offer take out as well.

I loved the menu at Chelsea Tavern. They have many things to choose from, but the pizza was excellent, the brussel sprouts were amazing and the crab dip was really great. Our server was attentive, friendly and entertaining. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and would definitely go back.

My wife and I had intended to visit Chelsea Tavern before a performance at the Grand Opera House a couple weeks ago, but snow got in the way of those plans. We decided to pay them a visit on a Sunday evening (3/22). Our waiter helped me find a beer that I enjoyed very much off of their extensive beer... More

My wife and I visited the Chelsea Tavern for dinner prior to attending a concert performance at the Wilmington Grand Opera House. We had eaten there once before. Being "healthy eaters", we reviewed the menu prior to going and found that the selection was going to be difficult for us. That was confirmed when we arrived. Nevertheless after study, my... More

Very tasty food, impressive beer list. Prices are not low, but acceptable. Located in the city centre.

Chelsea Tavern is ideally located for before or after dining when attending events at the Grand Opera House, the Baby Grand or the DuPont Theatre. Atmosphere is perfect for the venue, staff is pleasant and accomodating, and food is excellent. Recently went there with a group of friends - the Chelsea Cheeseburger, Veggie Fritatta and Turkey Benedict were all outstanding.... More

Nice beer selection bartenders were slammed working hard bit of a wait for beer. Will try it again if in area for a... More

My wife and I needed a place to eat prior to attending a show at the Grand. It's super convenient, right across the street. We entered without reservations but were quickly seated at one of the high tops in the bar. We enjoyed burgers cooked to perfection. Check their menu for some interesting choices. Mine was their Farmhouse version complete... More

Great location as we had tickets for the Grand across the street so it was very convenient. We started with the appetizer House-Made Soft Pretzel Crullers that were just spectacular, then we split the Poached Pear Salad was a nice sized portion and very tasty. For the main course, I had the Pan-Seared Atlantic Salmon that was prepared perfectly. The... More

I thought the food was very good here. We ordered a selection of the appetizers and main entrees, we were quite a large group and this was handled well. The calamari was exceptional as was the butternut squash soup and pear salad. The fish and chips was generous in size and crisp and tasty. I think this is a local... More
