We visited Royal Treat again the other day while on vacation over Memorial Day. Everything was just as I had remembered it---amazing. Loved the French Toast! Hashbrowns are still good. I tried the sausage this time. I thought it was OK. I think I prefer the bacon here! Service was fast & unintrusive. Still love the laid back beach feel... More

The ice cream at Royal Treat is very mediocre and takes FOREVER to get service. In the first few summer's of going to Rehoboth, my family and I were looking for a good place to have desert. After reading many of these reviews, we decided to try Royal Treat. After waiting in line for 30 minutes we finally got our... More

We've been going to Royal Treat for years, and it is by far the best breakfast around! The family-owned business makes everything from scratch, and it can't be beat! Their french toast and omelettes are AMAZING! IF that wasn't enough, their ice cream parlor "by night" is great...they make old fashioned sundaes, and you can sit on their porch overlooking... More

This place offers traditional Delmarva food, with friendly service and an historic Rehoboth Beach atmosphere. Breakfast is simple American fare (pancakes, eggs, french toast) with Delmarva favorites (scrapple, creamed chipped beef on toast, etc), and for the afternoons and evenings the ice cream and fountain specialties are a throwback to an earlier time (real ice cream floats, for example). You... More

This restaurant is consistant. It is in a quaint old house, a great place to sit on the porch with your (Hershey's) ice cream or your (very basic) breakfast. The location is the draw, and if you are here when there isn't a line and you can find a table on the porch, it is fun. But don't go for... More

If you're looking for a traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, French toast)...this is definitely the place to bring your family. You may have to wait a bit on the front steps, but the wait is worth it. Everything comes out hot and fresh. The specialty is the French toast made with Italian bread...very tasty. This is not... We had some guests down for a visit and it had been some time since we had been back for ice cream at the Royal Treat. The lines were not too bad but it was not really worth the wait for Hersheys ice cream. Staff was friendly but I have to admit I am hooked on the new gelato shop... More

Went to Royal Treat twice for ice cream. Unfortunately, didnt get a chance to try them for breakfast. Got a "non-traditional" banana split to share with my wife and son both times. You get three scoops (which is really 6 scoops cause they really outdo themselves), along with three toppings, whipped cream and cherries. The best part is Non-traditional means... More

After reading all the reviews, we decided to give it a try. Our favorite breakfast spots happened to be closed one morning so we headed over to Royal Treat. We were promptly seated and glanced over the simple menu. We ordered the usual breakfast items (coffee, eggs, sides, toast). The meal and service were both fine. We couldn't find anything... More

Our group of eleven rented a house a few doors up from the Royal Treat. They only serve breakfast and then switch over in the afternoon through the evening into an Ice Cream Parlor. There is nothing special about the look of the place, but there was already a short line out the door of this spacious place at 0830... More
