Great food, but the place needs some love

We have been eating at Espuma for many years and recently had another great meal as usual. The food has always been fantastic. But the place needs some sprucing up. It has a worn out feel to it. The bathroom in particular......has a dark and dingy feel upon entering, and it's not a good sign... read more

This beautiful restaurant has undergone a change of style. It is now an Italian restaurant. The view of course, remains outstanding. The restaurant though, was a bitter disappointment. Harried and inexperienced staff, a restaurant manager who could learn some interpersonal skills, and a chef poorly in need of some training. Such a shame. It good be as good as Tentaciones,... More

High end upscale dining. Service was fantastic and waiters were very helpful with menu suggestions. Fresh berry martinis were enjoyed by some of our party as well as a nice bottle of wine by others. The roasted red pepper bisque was delicious and presented in a very unique way which I will not explain as I don't wish to spoil... More

Disappointing birthday dinner on a Saturday night in September, after the Summer season. Tapas food was good and delicately prepared but not great. We had the chef's choice of seven vegetarian dishes. Asked for recommendation as between two bottles of Temperanillo, both priced at $46. One waiter thought the one bottle was sold out, and went off to check. Another... More

Sunday night before Labor day, despite being busy the staff was very attentive. Each dish seemed to have been well thought-out with flavors that complement the others. The paella was good and rich in seafood. The weakest point was a dry clafoutis, but we thoroughly enjoyed the dessert sliders.

This place is worth checking out if you want to experience something new in Rehoboth. We were a large party and our server was very knowledgeable and patient with us. The food was creative and delicious. We had arrived on the early side and as the dining room filled up, I noticed a slight lag in the responsiveness of the... More

Had high hopes for this northern Italian eatery, but they were dashed pretty quickly. From the server who suggested when we asked for a recommendation for a dry white wine a reisling (OK, yes, there are dry reislings, but not typically); he then went to the bar and returned with several bartender recommendations. First bottle had to be returned, as... More

Had dinner here a few times before on visits to Rehoboth so we tried this place again on a Friday night and walked away pleased. We started with some excellent cocktails at the bar and also an app since they were half-priced until 7pm. Only knock on the whole evening was the crispy lobster app was a bit shy on... More

Reserved a table for four for a Saturday night dinner. Please was empty when we arrived but we still had to wait? Passed the time at the bar, where the bartender appeared to be completely frazzled. Order drinks off the cocktail menu and he made the cocktails using different alcohols than what were described in the menu. When we asked... More

Went with four friends to have a weeknight dinner. We had a reservation but it was unnecessary -- other than a large party in the front dining room, restaurant was essentially empty. The first clue that the night would be strange was when two of us sat at the bar (we arrived early) to have a beer and wait for... More
