Disappointing

We visited Catchers twice. The first time we stopped for dinner and ate in the bar area. While the food was decent, it was a little pricey for the atmosphere. A glass of their house wine (a very, very cheap label) was $8.50. We didn't realize it until the bill came. We loved the bartender who... read more

After the great service and food one night we had to go back a second time and let's just say I can't wait to go back for our 3rd! The first night we had the fried mac n' cheese balls per Rolland's suggestion and they were out of this world, the margaritas were on point as well! We all had... More

Food was excellent ! Loved those crableg buckets ! We ate there twice on our trip ! Only concern was cleanliness . The tables were clean , but the floor was in great need of attention , especially at the door entrance , under the hostess table ! '' Rather Gross ! ''

We were looking for a happy hour spot and it seemed like every place we walked past opened at 4 pm. Then we came upon catchers. We got lucky!! They had great appetizers at half price and $2.00 domestic bottles of beer with a varied selection. We ordered raw oysters ( James river ) flash fried lobster tails , bacon... More

Server did the best she could. Seemed like she was doing all the work in entire restaurant while her coworkers did???? Food too forever. Very expensive. Chincy with the seafood. Crab legs soft and not hot. Buffalo bucket was good but over priced. Beer lines need cleaned in a bad way. This place used to be a must stop in... More

We went to dinner at 8 on a Friday night and had no wait time. We ordered a "starter" which the waitress asked if we would like it to come out before our crab legs. We said yes. We also asked for the crab leg special that was listed on the website as every Friday then she said it was... More

Loved the calamari, shrimp boil, burgers, oysters. Next time we stay for dinner. This time we stopped for a late afternoon snack and the bar menu is great! Nice staff too!

Went there to have crabs. They were mush and horrible. Complained and owner came out and agreed. We offered to pay for the 2 beers and he wanted to replace the crabs...we said no and he called us a@@holes. Cannot believe the owner would say that. The daughter who was at front of restaurant, tried to defend her father, but... More

Went into this restaurant by accident. It was only 3:30, the restaurant we were going to was not open until 4:00. The street sign stated open 3:30 and 1/2 off apps. A great choice. I had fried lobster tail for $6 and change, steamed shrimp and crab balls. All fantastic. My husband had calamari, stuffed mushrooms and mussels and we... More

Wife ordered soup which was OK and had the mussels as a main dish. They were awful- inedible- and had a strong smell. I had flounder which was prepared properly but it was just two small, thin pieces from the tail section of the fish. We were given a 10% discount on the mussels but we won't be back
