Went here for my husbands birthday dinner. Ordered shrimp and grits. A bay leaf was hidden and I choked. Literally. Still charged for the meal. Very disappointed.

I don't do a lot of reviews as I find them often biased by the expectations of the writer, but this was a must for me. Went to the Shorebreak Lodge on a whim with my wife, daughter and friend. Menu which changes daily, was eclectic and offered a range of cuisine. You know how some restaurants do something's really... More

I always have a great meal at Shorebreak. Being in the business myself, I don't get out much and Shorebreak is always a consistently great experience. Most recently my friend and I sat at the bar. Our bartender Matt was very professional and attentive even with it being a busy night. We share the burrata and peach salad, mussels and... More

Upon entering we felt the restaurant was overly air conditioned. There was a festive and lively bar scene happening and we had hoped to find a restaurant where we could talk to one another without shouting across the table. Our fears were quickly laid to rest by the friendly host who escorted us to a quieter area in the rear... More

Terrific place. Go for the Happy Hour from 5- 7 pm $5 plates including mussels in nicely spiced tomato broth, mushroom bruschetta, Boucheron and beets. Husband ordered the octopus from the dinner menu and it was fantastic. The funniest thing was, we hadn't been here in 3 years and the bartender not only remembered us but knew the table we... More

I ordered the chargrilled octopus and hubby got the Faroe Island salmon both of which were cooked to perfection. I also liked that the side dishes were imaginative and not the boring standbys like mashed potatoes. Our compliments to the chef!

I have been a fan of Shorebreak since it opened. This past Friday was a chance to try it again with my wife and daughter. It was not a good meal for two of us and passable for the third. My daughter's Uruguyan beef was too chewy. My chorizo and lamb meatloaf, which sounded like a good idea, was over... More
