Description: 133 steps to the Atlantic...Blurring the boundary between a night in with friends, and an evening on the town, coastal gastropub cuisine, eclectic wine, handcrafted cocktails, cool beers, laid back livin'. We are locally owned and operated establishment. We start with what we call our kitchens mantra from Julia Child; "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients." Our interpretation is too not get in the way of the food, let the ingredients speak for themselves. We mix this altogether with a nice selection of handcrafted cocktails (a must these days), craft brews, and wines, throw it all together in a relaxed beach cottage atmosphere, and try our best to provide you with the friendliest service we know how. There you have it: Shorebreak Lodge.

My boyfriend and I dined here recently and really enjoyed the food.I had the crab cakes and he the surf and turf, both extremely tasty and flavorful. The beer menu was not as extensive as we anticipated but we managed to make a selection that paired the food well. The downside to our experience was the staff. As I walked to... More

Shore break is getting lots of hype from some year round residents of our community at the beach. So,me made a reservation and took our son and girlfriend. We had recently dined at Salt, just two blocks away. First the drinks. My Gimlet was one of the featured mix drinks. It was way too citrusy. A glass of grapefruit juice... More

Terribly overpriced and frankly a mishmash of mediocrity. $30 for crab cakes with hardly a piece of lump meat in sight. Menu items not presented as described. A piece of skirt steak that was both devoid of flavor (in spite of a marinade) and beef of really poor quality. A wine list where mark-ups run about 300% or so, and... More

We had no reservations and the hostess advised us that a table would be available shortly, but that the kitchen was running at peak (my words, not hers) so it could be a bit of a wait once we were seated. We really appreciated the heads-up, and chose to sit at the bar while we waited. Gotta say, the speciality... More

A group of us went to the Shorebreak Lodge for dinner in late May. We'd read some good reviews, and the menu looked interesting, so we were exciting to try the place. Ultimately, we were disappointed. The food was okay, but nothing was outstanding. Most of the portions were pretty small. Oddly, however, I ordered the "yard bird," and ended... More

Been to Shorebreak Lodge twice now and am sure it's destined to become an institution in this town. The food is innovative, delicious, and fresh. Service is friendly and attentive. And the decor is perfect for a beach setting.

This is one of the rare locations in Rehoboth that take reservations. Consider making them before you leave home, it will be worth it. There were 6 of us and we were seated in the front room, where it was very clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It was too cool for outside seating, so I cannot comment on... More

Rehoboth has kept ShoreBreak Lodge a secret for long enough. After our most recent visit the truth must be told. SBL is an incredible culinary experience in a casual environment without the pretense and stuffiness often accompanying those haughty and often expensive venues. Nestled at the end of Wilmington Ave near the boardwalk, the location is not the easiest to... More

Everything was enjoyable the minute we walked in. Ambiance, the friendly staff, and great food. I dined with friends and everyone loved the Mussels, Clams, Risotto and all that we had. and reasonably priced too! We will return here.
