Description: 133 steps to the Atlantic...Blurring the boundary between a night in with friends, and an evening on the town, coastal gastropub cuisine, eclectic wine, handcrafted cocktails, cool beers, laid back livin'. We are locally owned and operated establishment. We start with what we call our kitchens mantra from Julia Child; "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients." Our interpretation is too not get in the way of the food, let the ingredients speak for themselves. We mix this altogether with a nice selection of handcrafted cocktails (a must these days), craft brews, and wines, throw it all together in a relaxed beach cottage atmosphere, and try our best to provide you with the friendliest service we know how. There you have it: Shorebreak Lodge.

We were in town and a friend made the reservations for us four--insisting we go to this place. We brought the menu up online and I wasn't sold. Trusting our host, our party went and I'm so glad we did. Our server was charming and adorable. ( He just found out he got into dental school) Being a vegetarian I... More

Had a wonderful meal here last night. Great service from Ryan at the bar. Had the tomato olive tapenade app and it was delicious. Too big for just me since I wanted to get an entree and I hated to not finish it. Ordered the filet and risotto side. Both were excellent. Really made for a great last night to... More

We make it here often for happy hour and are never disappointed. We love the fresh fruit mojitos and the app specials are absolutely delicious. Dinner was outstanding and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Great food, great service.

I dislike having to write a negative review of a restaurant where I live but based on the misleading menu item and high price, I must. I attended a nice evening out with a group of six friends and I opted for the $35. Kobe steak because of the known quality that theses steaks are known for. When it was... More

Well first and foremost, i would like you to know that your steak was not "kobe" rather american kobe or wagyu beef, for had it been actual kobe it probably would have been 350 not 35 dollars. It was indeed though american kobe, purchased from Rastelli meats in new jersey, I will make sure to let them know you did... More

So Rehoboth has been my home away from home for over 50 years. Now apparently this place has been open for a few years, but I had never even heard of it. Definitely was the best meal I've had in town for years. Went on Monday of Labor Day weekend, so most people had left. We got a table with... More

I had heard this was the new hot place in rehoboth. Went there for happy hour - and was very disappointed. Service was flat - efficient but no personality. There are many great restaurants and bartenders in town - I will spend money where I feel appreciated. Food was good but atmosphere and service were bland.

My husband and I just went to dinner at Shorebreak Lodge. It was a perfect upbeat place to have a late dinner. We shared the Mussels cooked with a Chorizo and tomato sauce which came with grilled garlic bread. We liked the sauce so much that we ordered an additional side of the garlic bread to soak up the sauce.... More

We arrived on a summer night, busy, but not really bustling. Waited more than 15 minutes to get greeted. Kind of cast a bad light on what should have been a good time considering the creative food

Although this restaurant has been opened for a few years, we just discovered it on this year's annual Rehobeth vacation. Food was excellent. Nice portions and service. Hard for me to resist Shrimp and Grits when available. Ordered the appetizer size and it was absolutely large enough for dinner. Four large shrimp and an excellent Creole-style sauce. Service was friendly... More

This is one of the best foodie values at the beach. Our dinner bill was about half that of the other excellent restaurants we tried during our stay. The mussels were great as was the mushrooms and the shrimp and grits. Try everything. The portions are more generous than some foodie spots, hence most of the value. Cocktails are excellent... More
