Description: 133 steps to the Atlantic...Blurring the boundary between a night in with friends, and an evening on the town, coastal gastropub cuisine, eclectic wine, handcrafted cocktails, cool beers, laid back livin'. We are locally owned and operated establishment. We start with what we call our kitchens mantra from Julia Child; "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients." Our interpretation is too not get in the way of the food, let the ingredients speak for themselves. We mix this altogether with a nice selection of handcrafted cocktails (a must these days), craft brews, and wines, throw it all together in a relaxed beach cottage atmosphere, and try our best to provide you with the friendliest service we know how. There you have it: Shorebreak Lodge.

Came in for happy hour (off season) and had a delightful time. A nice selection of $5 food items and a decent glass of wine for $4--how can you go wrong? We shared mussels with chorizo, brie on naan, "fancy" fries, and an app off the main menu ($8), butternut squash with bacon. More than enough for two hearty eaters.... More

Somehow I had never managed to get to the Shorebreak Lodge in my previous visits to Rehoboth, so I wandered in on a weekday evening in the off-season, and was seated immediately. There was a noisy crowd at the bar, but it turned out they were having some sort of special event in the back room, and once they headed... More

Someone in our party had read that the Shorebreak got outstanding reviews. They must have been written by the owner. Imagative, eclectic menu. The prices are reasonable for a tourist area, but the food lacked distictive, "Wow, that's good" flavor that one would expect from a top notch restaurant. The wait staff was pleasant, patient, and answered many questions about... More

Have been to the Shorebreak Lodge three times this summer and each time I enjoy it more. The atmosphere and location are great, the service is excellent, and the cuisine is superlative. I am particularly fond of their surf n turf entree which is scallops and short ribs around some stellar risotto. The only issue with the location is, during... More

We were in town and a friend made the reservations for us four--insisting we go to this place. We brought the menu up online and I wasn't sold. Trusting our host, our party went and I'm so glad we did. Our server was charming and adorable. ( He just found out he got into dental school) Being a vegetarian I... More

Had a wonderful meal here last night. Great service from Ryan at the bar. Had the tomato olive tapenade app and it was delicious. Too big for just me since I wanted to get an entree and I hated to not finish it. Ordered the filet and risotto side. Both were excellent. Really made for a great last night to... More

We make it here often for happy hour and are never disappointed. We love the fresh fruit mojitos and the app specials are absolutely delicious. Dinner was outstanding and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Great food, great service.

I dislike having to write a negative review of a restaurant where I live but based on the misleading menu item and high price, I must. I attended a nice evening out with a group of six friends and I opted for the $35. Kobe steak because of the known quality that theses steaks are known for. When it was... More

Well first and foremost, i would like you to know that your steak was not "kobe" rather american kobe or wagyu beef, for had it been actual kobe it probably would have been 350 not 35 dollars. It was indeed though american kobe, purchased from Rastelli meats in new jersey, I will make sure to let them know you did... More

So Rehoboth has been my home away from home for over 50 years. Now apparently this place has been open for a few years, but I had never even heard of it. Definitely was the best meal I've had in town for years. Went on Monday of Labor Day weekend, so most people had left. We got a table with... More

I had heard this was the new hot place in rehoboth. Went there for happy hour - and was very disappointed. Service was flat - efficient but no personality. There are many great restaurants and bartenders in town - I will spend money where I feel appreciated. Food was good but atmosphere and service were bland.
