Got an email yesterday: Cake Break Inc. in October of 2012 made a decision to open a second retail outlet in Lewes to insure its financial condition. After three years it was obvious that the sales in Rehoboth alone were not sufficient to insure Cake Break Inc.’s financial security. Cake Break Inc. was guaranteed at that time that the Lewes... This business appears to be closed permanently. We love visiting with the owners and enjoying their wonderful breakfast treats - but apparently all was not what it seemed. An article at CapeGazette.com on Dec. 31 says that the owners abruptly left town, leaving unpaid salaries and unfilled orders in their wake. :-( Check out the story at capegazette.com ...put title... We enjoyed these cupcakes at a wedding and they were the best. The cake was soft and moist while the icing was real buttercream and just the right amount (not too much). We visited again to get a 6 pack to take home. They weren't as good as the variety we had a the wedding, however, they were still very... More

I stop in here each time I visit the beach. The cupcakes are to die for! The owners are such friendly people and it is nice to stop in for a coffee and a chat. Don't miss this place, you will love it too!

I heard about cake break through Delaware Perfect Wedding Guide. Debbie must have done an 'email blast' to people, and I was interested right away. My husband and I were planning on going and getting a large sheet cake (since that's what we could afford) for our wedding ... tacky, but we were okay with it. After talking with Debbie,... More

We met with Deb and she was great! She was fully prepared for our meeting and let us taste a bunch of different cakes and frostings. All were delish! She showed us a book of past weddings she had done and gave us some helpful do's and don'ts. We booked her on the spot and can't wait to eat the... More

We picked up a 6 pack of cupcakes to celebrate a birthday. Last time we really enjoyed them, but this time they were dry. We really did not enjoy them. What a disappointment. Not worth the money spent. Doubt I will be back.

I loved Cake Break. The folks who run it are really friendly and the treats we great! Interestingly they use no nuts - I'm not a nut person, for for the first time in my life I could eat a sticky bun! They also have bagels and make sandwiches with them too!

All offerings here are very good. Love the small cupcakes! The owners work to make you happy. Two Christmases ago, I requested stollen, a German bread. They made it, and it was delicious. Now, they offer it during the holiday. They also have baked low gluten bread and too many treats to mention. Like sticky buns? Get 'em here and... More
