Ok, based on all the glowing reviews, we went to Henlopen. The food was 3 star, prices 5 star. $9 for 1 scallop. I wouldn't have minded if it was outstanding, but it was only good. The oysters Rockefeller were sub-par. Swimming in bacon fat. The entrees were good and almost worth the price. But, the place was loud. Miserably... More

Delicious food and very friendly and thorough service. There is a reason this place was an hour-long wait in February. Be sure to try some of the creative drinks from the bar.

Wife and I ate at Henlopen City Oyster House for dinner. This was our second trip to the restaurant - very disappointed. I had the rockfish and she had the scallop entree. Both entrees were average at best and lacking in flavor. The house salads that accompanied both meals were the same - average and bland. Maybe we hit the... More

Beer list offers really rare items. Oysters were so fresh and delicious. Fried clams were just ok. Lobster mac and cheese was very good, wish it was baked though. The old bay shrimp were cooked to perfection. This is a great place to eat.

Went to Henlopen City Oyster House for lunch with my husband. We sat at the bar and talked to some great people. I had the Cowboy oysters and my husband had the crawfish gumbo for appetizers. Amazing!!! For lunch I had a mahi mahi sandwich and my husband had the oyster po boy. Both were fantastic. The atmosphere was great... More

Lovely service. Really good food but felt the menu was limited for my son. Ideal if it was just myself and my husband

My wife and I ate here twice during one week in September. Food was consistently good and fair priced (disclosure: we live near DC so we're used to paying a lot for decent seafood). We liked the overall feel and decor of the restaurant, and the servers seemed pretty knowledgeable about the food and drinks, and were able to give... More

Popped in this Sunday for happy hour. Had the raw oysters (shucked there on the spot) special. $7 for half dozen. House wines just $3 a glass. The oysters were sublime, well, all the food here is! If you are a fan of Oysters this place should not be missed, and the happy hour allows you to enjoy them without... More

This a new favorite place when I come to visit Rehoboth Beach. They have a large selection of Oysters and the rest of the food is fresh farm to table. They have a great beer selection and a well thought out drink and wine selection. I had the classic Oyster Stew and my wife has the seafood chowder, both were... More
