My Fiance and I, who were first-time visitors to Rehoboth Beach area, asked a local clothing shop owner where to go for a great seafood. We were direct to Henlopen City Oyster House. We had an excellent meal. We each had the beer sampler to start. Then a beer oyster shooter. Shared an order of the clams casino. For entrees,... More

Great little spot for Happy Hour! We had amazing oysters and probably the very best steamed clams I've ever had. I can't wait to go back!! I would highly recommend! Service was great too!

nice service, excellent fresh food, but go if yu can during an off time as it is popular and waiting can be a pain.

I’ve wanted to try HCOH since it opened, but the waiting times have been prohibitive – this is a VERY popular restaurant. Finally we decided to gut it out regardless of wait time – the wait was estimated at 1:45, but actually was just 1:15. My problem is that once you are seated and presented with the menu neither the... More

Well it was probably my fault for not sticking to oysters which is what they probably do best. I ordered the opah special which sounded interesting but ended up being one of the blandest dishes I've ever had. The fish was described as an Asian preparation coated in black and white sesame seeds which it was and that was about... More

The food is wonderful and unique - no reservations are taken though - so plan to wait for a while for a table - but it is worth the wait.

Everything about this restaurant is excellent, from the smile on the receptionists' faces, to the servers, and especially the FOOD! The chef, Bill, is young but what a talent! We shall return again and again. Do not miss this one.

Wonderful selection of beers! Great choice and selection of oysters. Wait staff very informed and helpful. Service is terrific. Food can be above average, but just barely!

A friend of mine and I shared a meal here on May 25th and found the food tasty but the service inexact. Specifically the meal started with oysters on the shell that turned out not to have been the ones that we ordered. No big deal as we were not charged, but needless confusion. Also, my companion ordered the grilled... More

We visited here in June 2011 with our 2 year old daughter. As with all restaurants in Rehoboth, this was family-friendly. Food was great. I had a lobster roll and my husband had the oyster po-boy sandwich. Upscale food but relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!
