I went to Henlopen City Oyster House with friend for lunch. Sat at the bar and ordered. The waiter James treated us like he knew us for ever. Great drinks, the food was outstanding. Try the lobster mac and cheese. Liked so much went back for cocktails and apps that same night.

We went on a Monday around 5:30. It was not crowded when we got there so the sevice could have been more attentive. I found it ODD that the only way you got a basket of bread was by request??. The soft shelled crabs were good...my girlfriend ordered a corn anc r=crab soup and it was Ok. The wine I... More

After reading the reviews, I was very much looking forward to trying this spot and finding a new place to rely on for happy hour. The lack of a host to greet us should have been my first clue that service was going to be low on the priority list. When I finally got the attention of what proved to... More

This restaurant was by far, the best we dined at on our recent trip to the beach. We ended up eating at the bar and we were so impressed with the friendliness of the bartenders. When we sat down, they shook our hands and introduced themselves. The ambience is nice and the food is divine! We highly recommend the crab... More

We went on a day trip to Rehoboth Beach for some outlet shopping. My husband asked me to lookup a good place to eat. I pulled up my Trip Advisor app on my phone and the #1 place to eat was Henlopen City Oyster House. So we decided to give it a try. We were surprised when we pulled up... More

We went as a family of four on a Tuesday night and were lucky enough to get a really nice table. Our server was excellent--really professional--and our salads and beer were also outstanding. I got the crab cakes, which were good but not amazing. My husband wasn't feeling very well and decided to go for a burger and, surprisingly, it... More

The atmosphere had a good buzz, with a nice young staff and a good menu of food made with quality ingredients, but something was really off here. My order was completely forgotten and when I asked them what was going on there were no apologies about it, when I got it, it was only half cooked which was very disappointing-... More

We went to the Oyster house this week & we were dissapointed. The server & food was not as good as we expected seeing such great reviews. Not sure what all the fuss is over.

This wonderful restaurant has gotten even better over the past year. It certainly deserves all the great "buzz" it has gotten in tripadvisor reviews. The selection of beers is outstanding, the appetizers and entrees were delicious and the service excellent. The only real drawback was the long wait for a table (even on a mid-week evening); we had such a... More

Had a chance to try the number one rated restaurant in Rehoboth, and was not disappointed. We had the oyster sampler and the medium clam steamers. The shellfish were all cleaned to a T, and the taste was succulent and fresh. Wife had Rockfish, beautifully done, with mashed potatoes. I had the lobster, shrimp, scallop combo over squid ink linguine. I... More
