Fabulous

If you want cozy and romantic, don't go to this restaurant. If you want fabulous food,do. The space is large, attractive and noisy. Ceilings are high, with nothing to insulate the sound. When visiting rehoboth we always try to plan a visit for oysters during Happy hour. Too crowded for us during July and August, but returned this past week-end. The red (winter) sangria is delicious, as well. Have not tried anything but the oysters, but plan on it.

I want to give this a bad review because I want to get in the place for happy hour and or dinner and this place gets packed! Great raw bar. Great happy hour menu. Unbelievable regular menu that changes regularly! Fresh seafood at its best!

We were walking by the restaurant at 4 pm one day last week and stopped to look at the menu to find that they have a happy hour from 3 to 5 pm with happy hour prices for oysters, shrimp, beer, and a featured cocktail. We went in and enjoyed a dozen oysters, 1/2 lb. shrimp, a beer and a... More

We went here totally based on the number 1 rating. It was totally worth it. The atmosphere is small but really cozy. They have some great craft beers on tap which I love. My wife and I split a meal, the boulibaisse. It was fantastic. The prices were a little on the high side, but after tasting the food, it's... More

Good oyster selection, excellent crab cakes and a must have steamer pot luck. We visited this place twice during our stay and both times had to sit at the bar due to very long wait times for a table. We had not issue with that and Jamie the bartender took care of us - great service! We also had a... More

We’ve been wanting to try Henlopen City Oyster House for years, but have always been put off by the long lines, since they don’t take reservations. This time we tried to go early on a week night to see what all the fuss is about, and frankly, it left me scratching my head. Even on a Thursday evening after Labor... More

Great oysters and food! We had a long wait about 1 hour, but the food was good and came out hot. We will be back!

We first visited when they opened about 3 years ago. We always go back whenever we are in the area. Had the oyster Rockefeller, steamed shrimp for starters, then moved onto the crab cakes. Also need to mentioned that the cocktails here are as good as the food. The only down side is the wait. We arrived about 630 on... More
