Great happy hour seafood at the bar

We usually go to Claws for happy hour at the bar. Not so much for the drinks, but actually for the seafood. Steamed shrimp, clams, crab claws at great prices. Usually interesting people to chat with too.

Food is always cooked perfectly, staff is friendly, attentive. We have enjoyed Happy Hour and dinner there often. Will always return.

Something happened to this place from last year. Last year we were blown away my the food and the atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses all hang out smoking on the sidewalk to the door, which means you have to walk thru their smoke. I can't believe their management lets this happen You could really smell smoke on our waitress which... More

After looking at positive Yelp reviews decided to try them. What a mistake...every 3rd crab was bad. Strong smell of ammonia & oil. Having grown up in Maryland eating crabs all my life, this means the crabs were dead when cooked! When we complained the manager took off half the crabs off the bill. My brother just ate there recently... More

Staff were very helpful. Crabs were warm, juicy and delicious. Orders were huge - enjoy enjoy! Good hush puppies and shrimp too. Outside of the restaurant appears very much like a bar with food but actually i think this is more of a restaurant with a bar. So glad we ate here!

First time to visit. No wait at 6:30 on Friday. Inside seating far too noisy to tolerate so we asked to be reseated, and they were happy to accommodate. Much better seating on the porch; quiet, enjoyed perfect weather, good people watching. My fish and chips were plentiful and well cooked. We adored the hush puppies. An order of a... More

My husband and I wanted a casual seafood dinner so we chose Claws. Usually there's a long wait but at 6:00 on a Wednesday, we got right in. Kerry, our server, was friendly and attentive. Good food selection. We had the crab dip to start...yummy and cheesy. We each got peel and eat shrimp and I got a special starter,... More

Friendly staff, great outdoor seating, and a menu that left me flipping coins and "eeny, meeny, miney-mo"ing trying to make up my mind. The steamed clams are a sure hit I was almost tempted to order another round after the first batch. The Maryland Crab soup is a delicious veggie-loaded soup with chunks of crab meat in a tomato based... More

Thank you for leaving such a nice review! We do like our MD Crab spicy, but the good part about that is we have a great beer selection to keep you cool! We try to make sure we've got a little something for everybody on the menu and are glad that you were happy with your meal, even though the... More

This place would have a higher rating if the setting were different - open with more fresh air circulating. Eating crab or lobster is a messy endeavor with hammers sending shell bits everywhere. The place had a messy feel and slightly smelly. Crab houses need to be either open air, crab shack types or up market restaurants- this place is... More

Service was pretty slow but to be fair I was there on a Saturday night during peak beach season. I got a dozen extra large crabs and was very satisfied with the price, size, and quality of the crabs. Close to the boardwalk. If I had a choice to visit again I would.
