This is an odd place with an identity crisis....is it Nawlins, is it Mexican? It does neither exceedingly well, but it is still a fun spot to go. Margaritas were pretty good, some beers you don't see every day. The menu is a mix of Cajun and Mexican. Frankly, neither style is terribly authentic. A bit industrial, frankly, but it... More

I must start by saying that text mex is not one of my favorites but when ever I eat it, this is where we go. It's always good with much to choose from. It gets crowded fast but they move the crowd in and out quickly. The atmosphere is loud but since the food is good we deal with it.

This was my first visit to Border Cafe for a business lunch today. The lunch crowd was huge. The service was great, place is a little loud but the food is worth it. I'll be back!!!

Spicy shrimp appetizer is to die for. Warm chips with salsa complimentary. Can't go wrong with any meal or appetizer. I usually don't eat fries but these are the best I've ever had... and they're only 1.99!!

Restaurant well rated so stopped by for dinner on the way through the area. I ordered the seafood quesadilla and my husband ordered a taco and beef enchilada. Neither were good. The shrimp in the enchilada were small and obviously recently frozen since the sauce was watery. The tortillas were very thick. I prefer more authentic mexican and this was... More

After visiting this establishment with the unique garage sale meets junkyard decor, that is how I feel. the music plays just a little to loud- complicating matters is the hardwood floors and non-acoustic celing tiles and brick walls. Even without the music, the place would be loud. but never fear- there is no need to converse at high volume, just... More

Fast service, delicious food (nice sized portions) and affordable prices! Go for lunch so you won't have the dinner rush wait. Try the pastelitos and gulf coast enchiladas! Great for the while family.

My headline says it all, and if you trust it, you're in for a treat. Border Cafe was packed on a Monday night, with good reason. Imaginative menu items, good service, great prices, and, I really mean it, the best Tex-Mex food I've eaten in roughly 40 different tries from Maine to Florida. We only got to try two dishes.... I have eaten here at least 20 times over the last 2 years, but opted to write a review as yesterday we had another great meal with an attentive wait staff. I must confess, I always get the Gulf Coast seafood crepes. Incredible meal for something like $11. Their meals are all good and very inexpensive. Their frozen margaritas are... More
