Big portions, and VERY busy

I really like this place ! The food is as authentic Tex-Mex/Cajun as one will find in this area, and is very very good. The portions are large and the pricing is very reasonable. Quite honestly, I have never spoken to anyone who didn't like eating here. The one drawback is that it seems to... read more

We finally found out why the parking lot is always full. This simple cantina is very popular with good reason. The prices are beyond resonable, the portions generous, the service efficient and cheerful, and --most importantly-- the food delicious. We had Tacos Veracruz, a plate of mixed enchiladas, and a side of skillet cornbread. All excellent. It was nearly impossible... More

Would always stop here on our way home from Delaware Pger, naark- now feel like I'm stopping in a Middle Eastern Country - servers in white tunics and when asked why they looked around and said this is what they were told to do - felt very uncomfortable - food was ok, and hen I stopped to mention it to... This is a Mexican, Cajun restaurant. It is off of Interstate 95 in Delaware. My salad in a taco was great, so many toppings lettuce (shredded) was soggy by time you get to bottom. It has fast service, delicious food, excellent portions and a great kids menu. The only thing I would recommend is reducing the amount of french fries... More

I have been to Border Cafe more times that I can even count. I have honestly never gone to Border Cafe and had a bad meal, everything is always very tasty and just as ordered. I personally love the steak fajitas and really enjoy that they do fajitas for two! I must say that Border Cafe does really give generous... More

I love this place everything from the chips and salsa to entree are excellent. The food is always excellent, prices are very reasonable, you always have food leftover for a treat the next day!! For a casual inexpensive dinner this place can't be beat.

Food is great with a nice mix of mexican, tex mex, and Louisiana spice. Shrimp and Crawfish salad is my wife's favorite. I'm a big fan of the fajitas. Blackened chicken fajitas with all the fixins, what could be better? How about a cold mexican beer or a the crown jewel of the frozen margarita world. The locals know this place... More

Sunday afternoon and there was a 10 minute wait. Hostess was charming and seated us earlier than 10. Our waitress was prompt and good. Food was even better. One of my pet peeves about dining is being bumped while I eat. I try to pick my seat carefully, either the strategic chair or a booth. No such luck at this... More

Newark seems to be filled with chain restaurants. If this is one, it sure doesn't seem like it. This restaurant is fun, the food and drink are decent and it is not crazy expensive.
