I have read several reviews of this breakfast and lunch restaurant in Newark , Delaware. They either rave about the place or pan it. I will say that the breakfast menu and service were excellent. The food was excellent, bacon crisp, coffee hot. The service was fine as well...The negative reviews were mostly about bad service and high prices. I... More

We are Newark locals, and we eat out several times a week for breakfast or brunch. We keep coming back to Sinclair's because it is so good. The eggs are REAL and they are scrambled to perfection, light fluffy, and not wet and gross. The bacon is better than I can make myself. It is crunchy, wide, and cooked on... More

If this place gets high rating, it must be from the people that work there. First they have only ONE "flavor" of pancakes a week. You can't just get plain pancakes. I should have left right then. There is no real sausage, just turkey sausage or veggie sausage. So I order a New York Poached egg. Supposed to be bacon... More

I was so excited to find a place that offered vegan breakfast while my husband and I were in town! This place has a very mixed feeling inside though.. If I had to find the positive for the interior - it's 'home'y (totally not an actual word). However, it's almost like going into someone's home and the kitchen + dining... More

When ever I visit my niece in Delaware we try to get to Sinclair's. Great food great staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. My great nephew calls it The Book Store coz of the very kid friendly box of coloring books and regular books for the kids!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

I have attended the University of Delaware for four years, and just this last June of 2013 I realized that it was time to go to a breakfast cafe. I have heard many different people speak fondly of Sinclairs, and Anders finally talked me into it. The service was incredible. I particularly enjoyed the New York Poached Egg special, definitely... My mom and I both agree that this is the worse meal we have had in a LONG time. Negatives: 1. Slow service (although she was friendly) 2. Overpriced - $37 (w/o tip) for 3 adults and one child (who didnt eat!) 3. Bad food choices, quality, and taste- first, they dont have scrapple, what breakfast place in the DE... More

I read the reviews and they were so mixed, I didn't know what to expect. Turns out, I was disappointed. The place looks rundown. The table was sticky. The French toast was a little overcooked, but it was good. That's why I gave 3 stars. There is only ever ONE kind of pancake batter, which is disappointing because I really... More

A small, friendly breakfast and lunch spot on Main Street. Each week there is a different flavor of pancakes (such as almond or whole wheat), and lunch includes some good vegetarian options. Service is fast. Tea is served with honey, and pancakes with real maple syrup.

I came here with a friend because they had been named as Best of Delaware and I honestly have no idea why that is. Their eggs, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, etc were all incredibly bland... like Perkins, but without salt and pepper (and locally owned, which I guess is a plus??) Not impressed, not going back.
