My mom and I both agree that this is the worse meal we have had in a LONG time. Negatives: 1. Slow service (although she was friendly) 2. Overpriced - $37 (w/o tip) for 3 adults and one child (who didnt eat!) 3. Bad food choices, quality, and taste- first, they dont have scrapple, what breakfast place in the DE... More

I read the reviews and they were so mixed, I didn't know what to expect. Turns out, I was disappointed. The place looks rundown. The table was sticky. The French toast was a little overcooked, but it was good. That's why I gave 3 stars. There is only ever ONE kind of pancake batter, which is disappointing because I really... More

A small, friendly breakfast and lunch spot on Main Street. Each week there is a different flavor of pancakes (such as almond or whole wheat), and lunch includes some good vegetarian options. Service is fast. Tea is served with honey, and pancakes with real maple syrup.

I came here with a friend because they had been named as Best of Delaware and I honestly have no idea why that is. Their eggs, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, etc were all incredibly bland... like Perkins, but without salt and pepper (and locally owned, which I guess is a plus??) Not impressed, not going back.

My adult daughter just moved to the Newark area and while visiting for the weekend we stumbled upon this charming cafe on Main Street and had a fabulous Sunday breakfast. The daily special pancakes were gingerbread! - unique and wonderfully flavorful. We also recommend the hot chocolate with flavors - yum! Everything was fresh, mostly homemade or fresh-baked, and delicious.... More

Sinclair's is a locals favorite, open early and for lunch (not dinner). Homemade featured pancakes change frequently and fresh, falvorful omelets are made to order with ingredients of your choice. Great fresh coffee. This is a quiet, simple place, excellent for breakfast meetings or weekend brunch.

Nice little place to have breakfast. It opens before Main Street gets busy, so parking out front is usually not a problem. The food is always fresh and well prepared, and the service is always friendly.

A fairly cute brunch spot with a decent but regular menu. However, staff is rude and treat customers as if they are doing them a favor by serving them. Even their menu is rude, stating that if you're not done eating when they close, you're still getting kicked out.

Sinclair's is a great place. We have lived in Newark for over 25 years, and as long as Sinclair's has been around it has been a favorite. It is our go-to place for breakfast ranging from simple to gourmet. The food is made with care, and you can taste it in every mouthful. I do not understand the negative reviews... More

So, this is a little breakfast and lunch place in a college town, so you'd be forgiven if you thought a place like this would be quirky or something, if only to stand out from the IHOP or Panera located within eyesight of the place. Sadly, no such thing is happening at Sinclair's. The veggie omelet I ordered was totally... More
