first time was great

My wife and I went for dinner last week. Was first time visit. I have had this type of food before but my wife hasn't. Cool little place right on main street. We wanted to eat a bit early and arrived about 5pm on a Saturday and were seated quickly. Service was good and explained menu options... read more

Aps are good and so are the beverages. The hookah lounge is what makes this place a college hangout. I am not a smoker but the hookah is not bad with all the various flavors they offer.

Me and my girls went here for a casual lunch with my mom and sister. The food and prices are great - my 4 year old declared it was her favorite restaurant. We are vegetarian and there were lots of selection and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had the hummus, fattouch salad, falafel, and Moroccan eggplant... More

I had just one night in Newark, and chose Ali Baba. (Full disclosure--I love Mediterranean food.) Ali Baba did not disappoint. Everything from the fresh vegetables to the seasoned chicken was filled with flavor. If the dishes I tried were any indication of everything on the menu, this is a place that won't disappoint.

On a whim we tried Ali Baba in Newark, Delaware yesterday (5-30-15). The experiance was very pleasent. The staff was very polite and professional. They were patient with explaining the different meals. We stated with the veggie appetizer, I selected the house special chicken and my wife chose the salmon. Both entrees arrived with above average portions. we also enjoyed... More

This is our first visit to Ali Baba Restaurant. My in-laws took us out for dinner for an anniversary/birthday/Mothers' Day celebration. They warned us it is in a college town and about a 45 minute drive from their house. There were six in our party, including my 15 year old teenager. We had a five o'clock reservation. A few minutes... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The prices are very affordable. The food is fabulous. The atmosphere is authentic for The most part and the service is always welcoming. I bring all my friends from out of town here and they love it. I have been going to Ali Baba for years now and I just love it! I'm... More

Didn't know whether to rate this a 2 or 3. Had dinner at Ali Baba. Liked the food, as usual, except for the spanakopita I ordered. Not tasty, not appealing, rather soggy phylo. I'm going to skip this in future. The worst part of our evening was poor and erratic service. There were two new servers who were scattered, English-language... More
