Ali Baba has been one of our favorite restaurants for over a decade. It has really grown in popularity with the University of Delaware students, as well as locals, and noticeable changes in the restaurant have been made to accommodate the increase in business. We see the same staff faces we saw from the beginning. Their customer service & quality... More

Ali Baba has been around quite a long time and has the best middle eastern food in New Castle County. The setting is exotic with tapestries and cushions and low decorative tables. My husband loves their lamb and I enjoy the hummus, falafel and tabouleh. Prices are ridiculously low. Unfortunately, Newark is a university town and when school is in... More

If you're into experimenting outside the standard meals this is certainly worth going to. It has Moroccan furnishing and music. Also has an outdoor seating area along Main St. The food was very good.

I've always liked this place, and until recently, only found the service wanting. On my most recent visit(s) I have found the service greatly improved - it now has some of the finest service in town. The food has always been excellent; and that has never an issue. I am so glad they concentrated (or changed whatever) to have the... More

Outstanding food and service. Quite a pleasant surprise. Mujaddara was outstanding as was the Moroccan chicken.

We were looking for something unusual for dinner and were glad we found this listing. It was even better than what the other reviews suggested. Cushioned banquettes and stools around ornately decorated tables create a great atmosphere. We noticed other diners had their tables piled with so much food, they had to take home several containers. The portions are very... More

The food here is awesome. I'm a die hard fan of their hommus, morrocon chicken and kofta kabob. They are just mind blowing. The ambience gives you a middle eastern touch. I love this place.

If you like Middle Eastern food, then this place has wonderful authentic cuisine, and plenty of it! You might catch the exotic Belly Dancer show on the weekends, and reservations are strongly recommended since the place is small.

As soon as we entered I felt transported to the Middle East. The decorations, music, smells, guests, staff...and oh the food! It reminded me of a college study abroad experience through Jordan and Israel in the early 80's. The small tables made for an intimate squeeze. Hookah bar adds to the novelty. Tabbouleh: Fresh and zesty Parsley, tomato and onions... More

This is one of my favorite little finds on Main Street Newark. The food is fantastic and the prices decent. Nice décor and good atmosphere. The customer service is great and staff very personable. They have hookah available as well for a comfortable evening of socialization in their outdoor seating. Try the Baklava!
