Got lost looking for a stop for gas off the freeway on the way to New Jersey and found this Palace of Ice Cream goodness on accident. So many flavor choices, and this soft serve delight was superb. I never got more than five feet from the window and consumed it all. Definitely making this a stop on every trip... More

Dairy Palace is an institution around here and hopefully will be in business forever. It is not a chain and retains the old fashioned quality which chains try to imitate. They only have soft serve ice cream but they make all kinds of sundaes, shakes, etc.and the ice cream is so rich I always feel happy when I go there.

This may be a bad time to be writing this review, as they just closed for the season. We love their shakes and sundaes. (I prefer another ice cream shop's soft ice cream.) Like their chili dogs, too. They're a bit expensive, but the sundaes and shakes are always good, great ingredients and combinations. Good staff, too. 'bye 'til next... More

Not many 5 star restaurants in New Castle but The Dairy Palace I think deserves 5 stars easy! So rich & creamy could eat a large vanilla cone every day the rest of my life {although I hear they are closed in the winter}? After a meal at one of New Castle's, "ho hum" restaurants it is nice to scarf... More

We stumbled upon this little ice cream place while looking for gas. The line was steady so we looked up the reviews. Thanks for the pineapple shake suggestion, we LOVED it. Prices are a little steep for what you get but worth stopping in!

I like Dairy Palace...I like their ice cream, as it is ice cream, not frozen tasteless garbage. It was thick , sweet and tasty. Totally enjoyable and worth a detour and a 30 minute wait.

Good solid ice cream, shakes and chili dogs! Only open from Spring through Autumn, worth the wait every year! Very popular especially during those warm evenings! Friendly atmosphere and good service!

A traditional roadside stand will take you back in time to the 1950s. It's great to see a family business like this doing well.

their hot fudge and peanutbutter sauce sundaes are great! I even order just their hot fudge sundaes i think the whipped cream is extra, but their icecream is really good
