I must admit reading the menu at first was disappointing and I was struggling to pick an entree..what a mistake! There were 6 of us and each of us totally enjoyed our meal. The server was so pleasant and accommodating. What appealed to me the most were the sides listed with each entree - all those veggies. There was a... More

My wife and I stayed at Montchanin for two nights and dined at Krazy Kats twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfasts were fresh, well prepared and excellent. Service was a tad slow but we were vacationing and didn't mind. Dinner was a great surprise. The butternut squash soup was warm, creamy and delicious. The diver scallop entree was... More

I have loved this place in the past, but today I had a disappointing lunch. The waitress, while nice, was obviously inexperienced and not up to working in an upscale restaurant. I was served a Sancerre that was below anyone's standards. At $16/glass it should have been excellent. Perhaps open too long? Very rough. The crabcakes were very greasy as... More

Went here for lunch and enjoyed the food. About $6-7 for soup and $12-16 for sandwiches. They don't have French fries but I really liked their home made chips. It was completely empty when we arrived and the lighting is really dim. The decor is old school but nice. Quaint. They need to play music because it was too quiet.... More

Krazy Kats is a distinguished restaurant at the Inn at Montchanin. Beautiful décor, smallish, expert wait staff attentive without being obtrusive. Superb food well prepared and beautifully presented. Caesar salad was very good, main course generous and perfectly prepared. Not quite as expensive as we expected but well within what one would expect for the setting and quality of food.... More

My wife and I attend symposia at Winterthur Museum and always look forward to a dinner at Krazy Kat's. Innovative menu, excellent service and a great wine list. The food is superb, creatively and professionally prepared, with excellent service. Deserts are wonderful. Perhaps the best restaurant in the vicinity of Winterthur Museum.

We ended up at Krazy Kats after being unable to get in anywhere else. We were told they were booked up and just then the phone rang with a cancellation. Emily seated us and Indira was our server. Both were excellent and personable. We started with cream of crab and a butternut squash soup. Excellence. Then were we given a... More

A little expensive but the food and service was very good! The dinner menu is not very extensive but had varied choices. Breakfast was very good.

A lovely place to stop after visiting the museum and grounds at Winterthur. The decor is very refined (if you ignore the portraits of cats in uniform on the wall!) Interesting combination of flavors in chipotle butternut squash bisque; excellent panko-crusted fried eggplant. Multi-grain dinner roll was good, as was the complimentary mini-app of a small tostada with julienned vegetables... More

We had very prompt and attentive service for dinner (in contrast to the next's day's breakfast that was dreadful--separate review). We each had a starter. My husband really enjoyed the Crab Bisque; I had a Pear Salad which was heavy on the field greens but very light on pear and cheese with an ok dressing. We were really pleased to... More
