It's a place that kids beg their parents to go to for a family night out. Miniature golf nearby, live music many nights, comfortable seating.
The Pizza was good, it had a wonderful taste and the ssausde was not overpowering - we did not have any leftovers to take home. Enjoyed the free popcorn too while waiting on the pizza - nice touch. Rasberry tea was a delite, very refreshing. Only complaint it seemed dark inside, could have been a little brighter.
Definitely not authentic pizza. More like a tourist pizza. I don't care for the taste and the cheap ingredients they use. They make me and my family sick (literally). The only thing I can eat here is their tunafish salad, which is not too bad.
We have frequented Grottos for over 25 years. They have good pizza but we feel with all their expansion they are starting to price themselves way too high to keep customers returning. Someone has to pay for the new openings of stores but they need customers and at this point they have the most expensive plain cheese pizza in Delaware.... More
We have eaten at Grotto's in Milford and millsboro, de. We usually order their 1/4 and 1/2 pound hamburgers. In my husband's and my estimation, the burgers at Grotto are the best around. They are very reasonably priced also. I have eaten pizza there, but go mainly for the burgers. They also have very good antipasto salad and if you... More
I felt it was a very reasonable price for a shore point. A large pizza was enough to serve 3-4. Very tasty crust and lots of cheese. A little oily, though, so if you're on a diet, this may not be a good choice. Perfectly spiced.
A bit pricey, but gooooooood pizza! PRompt service and attention by the waitress...and the kitchen did a very good job, serving the well loaded pizza "overcooked crust" as recommended by the waitress! I will go back (and have several times since 11/11!!!).
We were tired and cranky from looking at properties all day. The waittress was very courteous and patient. It felt like going home to Mom's after a long day.
Grotto's has been around a long time and has its followers, for sure. It's easy to try a slice and see for yourself if you like it just by going down to the boardwalk. Personally, it's too thin, not enough sauce or cheese and just something about it doesnt taste like the pizza I like..real Italian.
