This restaurant recently changed ownership. It is now Honeys Farm Fresh. We ate breakfast there recently. The food was ok, but way over priced. 3 pancakes were $9.25. Meat was an additional $2.50. I believe the french toast was $6.50 for two pieces of bread. For three people the bill was $37.00. I enjoyed the restaurant when it was JD's.... More

The sign outside says “Blue Plate,” the menu says “Honey’s Farm Fresh,” and the bill says “JD’s Restaurant.” Although confusing, there is no confusion over the interior, service, and the food, all great. We were there for breakfast. The interior is freshly decorated, and offers a comfortable, inviting ambience. We were quickly greeted and seated. Their breakfast menu is interesting,... More

Ending our extended weekend and stopped into the Blue Plate for a late breakfast on the way out of Lewes. Found street parking and got a booth strait off. Nice and clean with attentive friendly service. Had great breakfast of home made blueberry pancakes and bacon; mrs. Dogface had eggs, hash-browns and toast. Very good! A little high, but as... More

Now reopened as the Blue Plate. Not great. Breakfast was expensive for what you get. I had the veggie omelette which had 3 ingredients in it at $1.50 each and coming out to $10.25, the order came out wrong, as did my wife's. The cheese was only half in the omelette and half on the cold plate. Coffee was way... More

JD's became Honey's about one month ago, but my friend and I were pleased to stumble on the diner-like cafe. My friend had the bagel with cream cheese and lox and it was very good. I had the crab omelette and found it superlative. The service and coffee were excellent, I had to ask for a couple of small substitutions... More

After going to Surf Bagel and Arenas we tried JD's Filling station. Wonderful Veg-A-Bene because there were lots of mushrooms and the Hollandaise Sauce was perfect. Only complaints are weak coffee and low lighting for reading our morning newspaper.

Was a bit tired of fighting traffic and parking in Rehoboth Beach so we went looking for somewhere to eat in Lewes. Really liked the menu variety at JD's so I booked a table through Open Table. We arrived a bit early but were seated at our reserved table immediately. We ordered drinks and were impressed by the large variety... More

We loved the bison burger with the Colvine Bison Farm meat, but the fries were mediocre. The regular fries were soggy and the sweet potato fries had cinnamon sugar which didn't appeal to our palate---too sweet rather than savory. Next time we plan to order a salad instead of the fries. We liked the new decor that we noticed immediately... More

Made a late booking via Open Table on a Saturday evening for 4 people. Welcome and service were impeccable in what to me seems like a recently made over operation. Small but interesting wine list and a relatively small menu. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their selections. Not cheap but certainly very good value for what we... More

We recently went to JD's for dinner while on vacation at Lewes Beach. What a great little place! I had the lobster and got two large lobster tails for an amazing price! They were cooked perfectly and more than I could eat. My husband had a steak and my daughter pasta. Both of their meals were wonderful as well. We... More
