The café is very quaint and the smell is very delightful as soon as you walk by the open door. I had a frozen coffee drink and it was delicious. The baked goods amazing. A must stop if you are in Lewes.

Every morning we walked to the Notting Hill Coffee Roastery for espresso con panna. The espresso is very hot and delicious. I bought a 1/2 lb. of the Labor Day holiday blend to take home and have been so wowed by it I just ordered 2 lbs. to be shipped. The owner is serious about roasting coffee - aren't we... More

Downtown Lewes place to stop in for coffee, muffins, scones in the morning and lunch items midday. During the season can get real busy, but worth the wait. Also friendly staff and owner.

We went in for coffee and a sweet one afternoon and boy was it busy! It's a tiny place, so it was a bit overwhelming, but the service was excellent. The selection of coffee for purchase was the best I have seen. The sweet was delicious, too.

They had great sticky buns, they roast their own coffee right there in the store, unfortunately we did not have a great coffee experience but I believe that the person who made the batch just didn't use enough coffee. I know this to be true because they supply the restaurants in Lewes and all there coffee is great

Whenever my family and I have been on vacation, we would always go to this cafe . We have been going here for around 5 years and we have tried practically everything. We absoloutly loved the pastries and drinks. The breakfasts and lunches are also good. The only con was that my salad always had sand in it. At first... More

Perhaps the pastries here are very good (they looked it) but we came for a more substantial breakfast. The sandwiches were on the wimpy side in terms of filling. The croissants were better than the sliced bread sandwiches. While the bread was fresh and clearly homemade, it was sliced entirely too thick. For the skimpy sandwiches the price was not... More

When in Lewes I get coffee and pastries every morning from the Lewes Bake Shop. I don't drink espresso or cappuccino or any sort of fancy coffees. So straight up coffee with cream-yes cream and sugar. Always have the Lewes house blend-not too strong-mild and smooth. Just right. Occasional the Erin blend if I need something a bit stronger. Pastries,... More

Excellent coffee and baked goods. The chocolate filled croissants are the best! Gets a bit crowded in the morning but worth the wait :)
