Description: Touch of Italy was born out of two Italian family traditions that trace...
Touch of Italy was born out of two Italian family traditions that trace back to the late 1800's. These two families trace their roots to the beautiful Marche and Abruzzo regions in Central Italy, where one can find rich cultural traditions and recipes passed down from generation to generation. Touch of Italy first opened in the fall of 2010 in Lewes, Delaware and proudly runs five locations in Ocean City, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, serving fresh items like handmade mozzarella cheese, pasta, pizza, cookies and crispy bread, as well as high quality imported items from Italy. Touch of Italy is proud to bring the Italian tradition to costal Delaware and Maryland, and pay tribute to our ancestors, who imparted to us a love of food and family.

"Italia invades Lewes"

On the corner of Second Street and Savannah Aveune in Lewes, you'll find Touch of Italy. From the street, it kind of reminds you of a delicatessen that you might find in "Little Italy" in any major city. Italian cured meats and cheeses are visible when you peak in thru the windows. I know there are multiple locations - this is the one on Rt. 1 in Rehoboth Outstanding lunch options and reasonable prices. I had a salad which was HUGE (we had been warned) and the hubs had an italian sub that was outstanding as well. He was only able to eat half! All the ingredients in both my salad and... More

Such a cute little restaurant someone should tell them to hire a chef. The soup was totally inedible tasting like the broth was recycled dish water. My main course could just a well been noting but a plate of salt, I did finish it expecting that somewhere I would get a taste of what I ordered but the flavor of... More

You can easily overlook this place. At first glance it looks like just another Italian deli from the street front. But it is so much more. Sure it is a traditional Italian deli complete with meats and cheezes hanging from the ceiling being sold at retail. But it is also an Italian bakery, an Italian restaurant and a small cozy... More

We came upon this restaurant by accident. We had picked another restaurant to go to but when we got there they couldn't accommodate us. We decided to give touch of Italy a try. And we are so glad we did. We decided to sit in the small enclosed part of the restaurant which was a good choice we felt like... More

I've been eating pizza for 50 years - nothing is as good as the pizza at Touch of Italy ! Your experience begins in one of the most unusual places: combination Italian Deli/Meat Market and Restaurant. Your eyes feast on the surroundings and when your food arrives - it's awesome. We had a meatball appetizer which was absolutely delicious and... More

While visiting downtown Lewes, we went for lunch to a restaurant recommended by friends. However, the wait for a table was long and we were starving. So we walked down the block to Touch of Italy, and are we glad we did. We loved the ambiance, with a salumeria (deli counter) with meats, cheeses, olives, pastries, etc., on one side... More

All homemade pastas with delicious sauces. It's like a family run restaurant, not sure if it is but they all care deeply about the service and food. We are only in town for 3 days but will try to go back. Get the pasta with bolognese sauce!!
