I've been coming to Lewes DE for close to 10 years and discovered Kindle on the recommendation of a friend. (PS not that it's hard to discover anything in a town that small! There's literally only about 20 buildings in that part). Kindle is a terrific meal regardless - this comes from at least 6-8 visits over the last few... More

Kindle moved from a larger venue in Milton, DE to a more intimate one, with outdoor seating, in downtown Lewes. Good move. The food, atmosphere and service are top notch. Our table raved over the BLT salad, chopped iceberg with Applewood smoked bacon (seemingly on every menu these days), and both the house salad, filled with a variety of fresh,... More

As soon as you review the menu at Kindle you know the type of meal you're getting ready to enjoy. We started with a few cocktails at the bar, which were well balanced, refreshing, and properly prepared. The orange bitters accentuate the spicy notes of the rye in the Templeton Manhattan that I ordered, and my wife's Italian Greyhound was... More

I love Kindle, and if it were anywhere near me, it would become a go-to place. The menu is interesting and full of great options. Everything I tasted was terrific. They have creative and yummy cocktails -- I always enjoy the special. AND when you order something like a martini, you get a mini-shaker glass with a refill, ala what... More

The service here is excellent and, the ambiance is romantic. Overall, we loved all of the food we ordered. We started with a charcuterie plate. My husband had the pork chop and I had the short ribs. For dessert, we shared the delicious malted milk chocolate creme brulee. My only complaint was that my short ribs were quite fatty. I... More

Sat outside on a beautiful night. We had to wait for a table, so the hostess took our cell # so we could wander the town instead of sitting and waiting, very nice! Server was great and efficient and the food was excellent (salmon and burger).

We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and the woman bartender was terrific. Once seated, we started off with the bowl of olives---which were very tasty-- and salads. The sliced baguette served bread was crusty and good. All the entrees ordered were excellent including the pork chop, the filet mignon, the burger, and the steak frites... More

We had a lovely dinner for 12 to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. The space is intimate with a lovely modern warm sleek design. Although small they accomodated our large group perfectly. The menu is just right with some bistro french influenced dishes, a simple delicious burger and a varied kids menu for our little guy. They have a full... More

We ate here in a large group and had great service and great food. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the scallops were delicious. The presentation of the meals were amazing but it tasted even better.

We had a very quick stop in Lewes on way back from Cape May. Given uncertainty over times I didn't plan the dinner location. We walked up to kindle around 7:00 on a summer weekend. There is no question that we chose it based on the fact they could seat us (outside) immediately. My spouse and I had been to... More
