Wharf Needs Pizzazz

The Wharf is a big place. It had very good food with large portions. It is set on the dockside. It needs to get updated, but overall it was a nice place. Just seemed to need more of an attractive combination of vitality and glamour. A little too quiet & blah!

My family went to The Warf in Lewes for many years because they we dog friendly and the location is good. Last June we went there and planned to have a great time and spend a lot of money. We were attached by a bunch of drunk locals. The management did nothing about it. We will never return. Do not... More

Very nice place with excellent views. Food is good and they usually have a live band. Also a great little town.

Went here for a family dinner over the summer, food was standard and over-priced. My fried shrimp dinner was inedible, and when I told the waitress, she did offer to get me something else, but since we were dining w/an infant & toddler, didn't want to take the extra time. I guess she didn't tell the manager as he/she didn't... More

We had a small, short family reunion, dinner only. This was a good midway point to meet and enjoy a meal together. This town (pronounced like: Lewis) is a great little seaside town for walking around, historical buildings, little shops, coffee houses, and restaurants. The Wharf is across the river from downtown. We parked downtown and walked across the bridge... More

If you like large portions, have no interest in the originality of the menu or the provenance of your food, this might be the place for you. We were told by our waitress that the fish was fresh, but none of the fish was local (unbelievable for somewhere in Delaware by the sea). The menu was unoriginal, uninspired and just... More

We met friends who were familiar with the restaurant. We were lucky to nab an outdoor table on a lovely evening. I had the Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon - a size able portion for a very reasonable price. A friend got the garlic and Parmesan fries - they were the homemade kind like Thrashers and were very good. Decent... More

Our server Samantha was awesome and very attentive. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink and it was so hot outside she recommended a drink with cucumber and lemons in it. It was so refreshing. I ate fried shrimp with coleslaw and fries. The Tai Calamari was off the chain!!!!!! Try it if you visit in the near future.

If I could, I'd give this place 0 stars. The food was horrible. All the seafood tasted frozen, not fresh. I went with my family and no one finished their meal. The music is too loud, and we had to change tables 3 times because the previous two had trash under them. My sister had the fish and chips, she... More

We came off a boat cruise and decided to stay for dinner. The food was really good. The service was friendly and attentive. The table was filthy. I was relieved that we didn't get sick, but I was so surprised that the food was so well prepared and creative. If management could get some bus people who cared maybe we'd... More
