I think that this restaurant should be taken off this website because it has been closed for several months now.

I first had a Doner when I was in Germany in the winter of 2009 and after coming back from that trip I wanted more. A few years later I learned of Doner Haus opening and had to check it out. The food is amazing. It is easily my favorite place to eat and I hope they stay in business... More

Just one word can describe a doner kebab - YUMMY. We come here all the time, and always get the doner kebab platter to go. As other reviewers have stated, this is a HUGE freshly made sandwich, the crisp cabbage inside the sandwich offsets the taste of the meat perfectly. We go one step further and always get the sandwich... More

Donor Haus, German "Hoagie" restaurant keeps getting better. The desserts are to "die" for. The restaurant has been opened for a year. Sandwiches are great, platters available also. Off the beaten track on Rt 10 in Dover, In the Liberto Center. You have to look for it.

Heard about this from Daughter and in law from Germany. This place is clean, food is diverse from normal fare. I enjoyed the change of pace. It is informal seating, only open to 7 PM. Offerings were unique and quite tasty. Reasonable prices, great desserts. Over by Dover AFB on Route 10. We went to movie matinee and then followed... More

The location is a bit odd and out of the way, but if you find it give it a try. I am still dreaming about the gravy on the Jagerschnitzel. Brings back memories from my child hood. The portion is HUGE, even for the small. Kielbasa, Kraut and Pirogies Plate is to die for. I could do this once a... More

This isn't a formal German restaurant. The limited menu consists basically of doner (thus the name), which is their version of shawarma. There's a beef/lamb/pork version and a chicken version. There are a couple of other chicken items plus pierogi. Otherwise every main course has pork in it. The portions are big and the desserts are good. The staff are... More

The snitchzel platter is very good, and very authentic german food. I also like the perogies. The doner sandwich is too big for me, I can't eat a whole one, definitley bring your appetite, the portions are large. But save room for dessert. All the desserts are hand made, and very good, the carrot cake is moist and delicious, the... More

This is a unique German restaurant that has become extremely popular in the Dover, De area. Started by a retired disabled Air Force member who traveled to Germany as part of the crews from Dover Air Force Base. The food he prepares, from scratch, is very popular in Germany. It consists of a mix of roasted lamb, beef, and chicken... More
