Yes, it's off the beaten path, but definitely very good food. Lots of locals eat here. I had a salmon burger with a big piece of salmon cooked perfectly. My husband's burger was delicious. We chose salad instead of fries. Very good quality. There's a large beer selection. Waitress did a nice job on a busy night.

The place has a modern retro old timey feel. We were sat right away and it was pretty busy around 5:15pm on a Friday night. Hubby had the crap dip & chips. It was served ice cold with very thick, greasy tortilla chips that over powered the mild crap flavor of the dip (more of a thick cream cheesy texture... More

Restaurant 55 is a bit off the beaten path, being several miles from downtown, but read on--it is worth the trip. My wife and I both had burgers from the "build your own menu." The meat was fresh and the burgers were almost certain handmade, not machine-formed. The most impressive feature of the meal was how well our burgers were... More

If you are a burger lover then Restaurant 55 is the place to go in Dover. You can build your own burger from a long list of toppings or choose one of the specialty burgers. Fries are also good. The place is on the smaller side, so expect to wait on a Fri./Sat. nite. Well worth it though.

The meal I had at Restaurant 55 is one of the best I've ever had. My wife's, on the other hand, was just average, so hence the 4 star rating. I had the stuffed meatloaf. It was stuffed with pepperoni, arugula, and 4 cheeses - amazingly good! My wife had the fried shrimp and she thought the shrimp were good,... More

First time visit for lunch on Saturday, right at opening. Staff was very friendly for just opening up. Place is not very big, but can handle a crowd. Plenty of room between tables, but not booths, which is no big deal. My wife chose the special with was a sausage berger that tasted a lot like those you find in... More

This place has very good food and differnet selcetion specials, it is a little more then an average burger joint but worth the money. Plus they help support local butcher shop and produce stands by buying their stuff there. Good for the community all the way around the way i look at it.

Our waitress was slow and the food amount to price ratio was less than desirable. The burger and appetizers were good, just expensive for the amount of food.

We were up for something different and looking for good hardy food. Having seen reviews we decided to give it a try. You go for the burgers. They have plenty of original varieties for everyones choice or style . I decided to go with the lunch special burger(sautéed onions, thousand island and gruyere cheese on thick grilled toast). It was very... More

We found Restaurant 55 through Trip Advisor, and it lived up to it's reputation! The food is original- all kinds of burgers (I had a fresh ground turkey burger with gorgonzola cheese and avocado), and the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. They come with a cinnamon sauce to dip them in- yum! And the portions are... More
