This restaurant is another hidden gem in the Dover area. It has some of the dreariest outdoor painting in a steel gray that has a military kind of look. It offers a wide variety of burgers, beers, and other sandwiches. The appetizers were decently sized. I enjoyed the fried artichoke hearts. The variety of designer muffins for dessert give this... My husband and I decided to try this restaurant because we were in that end of town. The food was very good. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere...well we mentioned that we felt like we were in a cafeteria, much like one you would find in a museum. It was loud. There were kids but it was the... More

Had the tuna burger and my wife had the burger salad. Both were good, the tuna was a nice seared raw tuna with teriyaki sauce-good flavor. The cupcake dessert was also good. Nice friendly service, we will be coming back.

Yes, it's off the beaten path, but definitely very good food. Lots of locals eat here. I had a salmon burger with a big piece of salmon cooked perfectly. My husband's burger was delicious. We chose salad instead of fries. Very good quality. There's a large beer selection. Waitress did a nice job on a busy night.

The place has a modern retro old timey feel. We were sat right away and it was pretty busy around 5:15pm on a Friday night. Hubby had the crap dip & chips. It was served ice cold with very thick, greasy tortilla chips that over powered the mild crap flavor of the dip (more of a thick cream cheesy texture... More

Restaurant 55 is a bit off the beaten path, being several miles from downtown, but read on--it is worth the trip. My wife and I both had burgers from the "build your own menu." The meat was fresh and the burgers were almost certain handmade, not machine-formed. The most impressive feature of the meal was how well our burgers were... More

If you are a burger lover then Restaurant 55 is the place to go in Dover. You can build your own burger from a long list of toppings or choose one of the specialty burgers. Fries are also good. The place is on the smaller side, so expect to wait on a Fri./Sat. nite. Well worth it though.

The meal I had at Restaurant 55 is one of the best I've ever had. My wife's, on the other hand, was just average, so hence the 4 star rating. I had the stuffed meatloaf. It was stuffed with pepperoni, arugula, and 4 cheeses - amazingly good! My wife had the fried shrimp and she thought the shrimp were good,... More

First time visit for lunch on Saturday, right at opening. Staff was very friendly for just opening up. Place is not very big, but can handle a crowd. Plenty of room between tables, but not booths, which is no big deal. My wife chose the special with was a sausage berger that tasted a lot like those you find in... More
