Local pub for lunch and dinner

Have been here a couple of times. Stopped for lunch this time with a friend. The hostess and waiter were cordial and attentive. I had the New England Clam Chowder and shrimp roll while my friend had the fish and chips. Both meals were good. Whether you have sandwiches or specials I have not had... read more

We go here often for lunch and Sunday brunch. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive. The daily specials are great, especially half price burger day. The Sunday brunch menu is good, and the regular menu is still available. And of course sitting and being able to look out at Silver Lake is good, much better than looking at a... More

This is a pub that is a local hangout. Ok food....chicken,ribs, salad, fish etc... there are Tv's always on and always blaring. Most people seemed to be eating sandwiches so that is what we ordered. Ok chicken sandwich and my husbands fish was ok...nothing special. Our waitress was attentive and my husbands beer was served in a frosted glass( like... More

We used Tripadvisor to give this place a try. The Sunday after Christmas may have had a bearing on our results. Place was dead. Hostess not at her station. This is obviously a local hangout, with many beer selections and a big sandwich menu. I had the fish and chips, which included 2 big pieces of fried fish and some... More

I got the Ribs, they were warm and sickeningly sweet. I could only eat two before feeling nauseous from the sauce. The corn bread was sweet, the baked beans were cold and sweet. Not quite sure why everything was so overly sweet! On a high mote the waitress was nice, effiencent and professional.

Followed the advice of others on Tripadvisor and am glad I did! Great resturant with a beautiful view of the lake! Food was very good and the service top notch! Very relaxing place to enjoy fine dining or a burger and a beer! Lots of specials and a very "happy" Happy Hour! Will be back again when in town!

My boyfriend's parents invited us out to lunch the other day. I had never been to McGlynn's before. The view was so pretty, right on the water. The food was really good, I ordered an omelet from their brunch menu, everyone else got sandwhiches.

We have been here before but it has been quite some time. The restaurant is very nice with fine appointments and a great view of the water. It is also one of the few places open on Monday evening. We enjoyed a simple burger and steak sandwich, respectively. Not bad but not great. Give it a try yourself to have... More

Attended a funeral in Dover, DE on November 7th and the night before, after arriving from out of State, had dinner - a Thursday Night. Husband had a shrimp dish - son had the fish tacos and I had the prime rib blackened (it was Prime Rib Night) - my cousin and her husband had sandwiches (they were also from... More

We ended up here the day after Thanksgiving. Loved the location with the view over the water, the interior is pretty cool, and the service was great, and they had some real good beers on tap. The food was good, but wasn’t exceptional, but still good bar food. The food is on the pricey side but the beer on the... More
