Mediocre food, pleasant service

The food was served promptly and our server was pleasant. Our party thought the food was mediocre at best. For an establishment that prides itself on BBQ, the food was so-so. I rarely give a bad restaurant review.

Disappointing the ribs came out slathered with a tasteless sauce. I have eaten at WPF many times before. It was my first try with the St. Louis ribs and my last in this establishment. I will stick to their baby backs and other items as they are still very good.

This is by far the best BBQ place in Dover. We're been here on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. There were times when we just walked in and were seated right away but believe me when I tell you it was worth the wait when a table wasn't immediately available.

Don't go here unless you're really hungry...the portions are large, but the prices are very reasonable. If you want a salad, try the Sunbelt which includes pulled chicken and pork...delicious! Laid back atmosphere.

The place was ok and the waitress was great. The brisket sandwich I felt was a stretch to call it BBQ quality. It tasted like it was cooked in a pressure cooker which left it kind of watery in taste. The BBQ sauce they use is good. They have something called an onion loaf. It is like lightly battered onion... More

This place has stayed the same for the last 20 years I have been eating here. It's homey feeling is nice but a freshen up wouldn't hurt. The menu is simple and has not changed. I don't thing they have raised prices much over the years. The sweet tea is sweet and fresh. The BBQ is great. The staff friendly.

We came here and liked it. It was pretty laid back. The food was good with enormous portions. I could have gotten a kids meal and had food left over.the cornbread was amazing!

Menu was great, hard to decide. Started with the onion loaf and it was awesome! Cornbread was great! Memphis and sweet potato fries the same. Ordered the brisket and was expecting Pitmaster type slices, tender, smoked and beautiful. Nope. It came out shredded and could have been just the roast of the cow. Couldn't tell anyway because it was smothered... More

The staff was great. The pulled pork was good but the pulled chicken was a bit dry. They had a broccoli salad that was to die for, I went back for thirds. The potato salad and baked beans were good but the broccoli salad. Oh sorry I already commented on that but it was that good.

This local establishment serves great barbeque but I just love their St. Louis ribs. My wife is partial to the Baby Back Ribs. The sides are all great as is the home made corn bread. Pitchers of a local draft 'Copperhead Ale' by Fordham/Old Dominion is $8.50. My only issue is that I feel that the whole racks have become... More
