Sometimes it definitely pays to go slightly off the beaten track – like just around a corner. Which is where you will find Bethany Blues BBQ – possibly one of Bethany Beach’s top food-establishments. Unlike all the other (basically “Meh”) family restaurants (and quite different from the endless ice cream/pizza/snack shops) in this beach town that calls itself “The Quiet... More

Party of 2 got seated immediately. We had the crab dip which was amazing! Also tried one of the deviled eggs just for the heck of it, but at $1.75 each they are way overpriced. Hubby had the flat iron steak which he said was good, but he was disappointed he didn't get to choose his side dishes. I had... More

Haven't had brisket this good outside of Texas! Good southern sides, sauces and spirits! Had the Raspberry Rum Runner with my ribs, brisket, potato salad and coleslaw. Would go with the all brisket platter next time and skip the bland coleslaw. Can't believe I have been coming to Bethany for years and missed out on this place!

This place has pretty good food. I do like the cornbread and the sauces. Its a little pricey to take and entire family out to eat but the kids get their meal on a frisbee they can keep.

Six of us went here for dinner on our last night in Bethany. We were all pleased with our meals. I had a pulled pork sandwich - a really GOOD pulled pork sandwich. However, what really made the meal for me was the unusual appetizer I selected: a lime cilantro avocado deviled egg. The flavors were mixed together in the... More

We went back after going there last year and enjoying the food last year. This time we were disappointed, the baby backs tasted different and the seafood imperial was very dry. We should have said something, but we didn't. We will probably think twice before going back,

We had a few issues with this place. I was traveling with friends who have a toddler and when they called for a reservation everything was fine until they asked "how many in your party"? When my friend said 3 adults and a toddler they responded "Oh, we are not taking any more reservations." I called less than five minutes... More

The restaurant has an upbeat feeling to it, but the food was just Ok. We had a party of 5 on a Sunday evening, we were told we would be texted when the table was available, expected to be 30-40 minutes. We went for a brief wander in the nearby shops and in 25 minutes we were sent a text.... More

We absolutely LOVE Bethany Blues! We fell in love with this place last year. The fried calamari was the best we've have ever had! We returned this year hoping for more but sadly it was no longer on the menu. :( No worries though! The ribs alone are enough reason to visit, sit back, and enjoy!

We visited with four adults and four kids from age 2-7. The staff was very accommodating and we had no trouble getting a reservation. The food was good -- ribs, pulled pork, sausage and brisket all cooked properly and the sauce was decent. It's not at the level of a top Southern barbecue joint but it's pretty darn good for... More
