The crab and corn soup was velvety and full of crab. Jumbo lump. So delicious. Calamari was fried to sweet tender perfection! Entree came and it was hard to get excited after we just had these dishes. Had a shrimp and grits with green tomatoes. Sauce was too watery and missing something. The grits had congealed under the sauce and... More

I didn't expect to find a gem like this one near the beach area. The food and the service are absolutely amazing. Everything not only tasted great but it was also presented beautifully. I highly recommend the place despite the 40 minutes wait to everyone who loves seafood and is not afraid to eat some serious calories.

At 5:45, the place was already packed, but well worth the 40 minute wait for a table. Scallops can be tricky to get just right, but mine were perfect and served on a bed of fresh local corn. The chalk board on the wall lists all the local farms that provided food that day. Everyone in our group of three... More

My husband and I had dinner (again) at the first of the "Hook" restaurants in the area. I had the scallops on the grits and my husband had soft shells. Oops, forgot to mention the not too spicy jerk chicken wings and fantastic starters that came out with a focaccia bread that is so wonderful. The cocktails are fantastic as... More

My family and I ate here this week. Despite its good reviews and pleasant staff, we found the food expensive and not great. Other dinners raved about the special soft shell crabs, but my asparagus salad app was drowning in balsamic something or other and my thai basil tuna came swimming in a bowl of soy sauce. The ingredients in... More

First off the service was spot on-my daughter spilled her glass of H2O and a very tall busboy came out of nowhere, swooped down, and remedied the situation before we even knew what had happened. My son absolutely loved the crab dip- he said "This is heaven in a bowl!" Everyone else in our party of 9 really enjoyed their... More

This was a lovely evening and we were seated outside. They do not take reservations so a seat outside in 30 minutes is a victory. While waiting fornthentable I had a delicious dirty martini for $9.00. Enjoyed every sip of it. The menu changes daily and tonight i had clams with a toasted bread for dipping then a seared tuna... We came here on a Friday evening in July (the bustling tourist season) and they very graciously were able to accommodate 10 people, including 4 children. The waiter was friendly and helpful and was able to get the children their food in a timely manner. There is a children's menu. All the adults were very pleased with what they ordered;... More

We arrived at Off The Hook at 6:10 on a Friday evening. We were informed that there was a 30 min. wait for a table. The hostess was right on the money and we were seated at 6:38 at a table outside. Which was perfect as it was a beautiful summer evening. We started with a bottle of Rose for... More

Went to try on a rainy Tuesday night, and when they said 40 minute wait I was ready to leave. A couple they had seated didnt like their table (small, in the back near the kitchen) so after about a 10 minute wait, we were in. I'm glad I waited! Great waiter (Dennis), great service, great food. Calamari delicious and... More
