The Curtis House restaurant offers a wonderful menu, a variety of dishes at a modest price. We dine at the Curtis House frequently and are never disappointed. Our favorites are the Pot Roast, Prime Rib, Stuffed Shrimp, and Turkey dinners. All have been superb. Their all inclusive menu options provides soup or salad, entree and dessert. Try their creamy dill... More

Hi! This was our default choice for Memorial Day late lunch/early dinner because the Good News Cafe was closed for the day, and we were absolutely delighted with this place. My wife ordered the turkey dinner and I ordered the fish and chips and both dishes were models of their type. I love fish and chips and order it frequently... More

I had dinner here with a group of friends on Saturday May 10th and my party, as well as the other diners, seemed to be having more than a mundane evening. We ordered the Filet's and they were cooked perfectly. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion but for someone who has dined all over Litchfield County and New... More

Even though I've lived in the area for nearly a decade I've only been four times, twice for business functions and twice because I forgot how awful the food was on the previous occasions. I can't understand how this place is always busy. The staff is pleasant (mostly), but the decor is drab and the food is a huge disappointment.... More

This was second visit in two months. Although I do miss the relish tray and the home baked bread basket, I have no complaints about the 'new Curtis House'. Our male server was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals and our desserts. My one complaint (and probably just me being picky) is the rolls being served. The first time... More

$10 lunch special was the value of a $30 dinner. Had the scallops and muscles over linguine with French onion soup. Could. Soup was really good made not from a mix! Not to much salt which made it very enjoyable on a rainy day. The ice tea wasn't my liking. The scallops and muscles had olives and some great taste... More

My wife and I had previously had a lunch here and were very impressed. We decided to go to celebrate our Anniversary. We hate to be rushed, and that was certainly NOT the case here. Our waitress (don't remember the name, but server ID #3 on my receipt), said whenever you are ready. She helped us with the wine and... More

I had dinner with a friend in the main dinning room this evening. Haven't been back to the Curtis House since things have been "updated". while it still has the quaint New England rustic charm inside the food/menu has been updated. yes the décor could use updating but then the old world charm would surely be lost for good. I... More

Four of us ate this past Friday downstairs at the Curtis House, in the City hall room. None of us had been there in many years. It is very family friendly. The noise level was low due to acoustical ceilings. The service was excellent and the choices on the menu were vast. French onion soup, all around was some of... More

I must admit I was a bit nervous when I heard the news that Gordon Ramsay was coming to Woodbury, especially to the Curtis House. As a previous reviewer stated "If it's not broken don't fix it". However what greeted us was an "updated" menu which was a combination of old favorites and newer items with choices of either Pub... More
