The space isn't huge, but the food served is mighty good. Not having a kitchen this week has allowed us to experience some great local foods. When we came in we saw the tables with grinders, they looked gigantic! We ordered a large pizza with sausage, mushrooms and onions and were told if we added one more item (garlic!) we'd... More

My wife and I traveled to Hartford, CT for a family wedding and stayed at one of the airport hotels for the night. Although there were many franchise restaurants down the streets, we decided to be adventurous and try this grinder place that was within walking distance. As we approached the small strip mall, I had some reservations. The place... More

I tried Second Poquonock because it's right down the street from my house. I will admit that when I first walked in to this hole-in-the-wall I did think twice, but my gut told me that these are the types of places where you stumble upon the best food, and I'm glad I listened! Biggest and best pizza grinder I have... More

H & M is an awesome family restaurant. They now have a brand new building (right next to where the old one was). Best pizza anywhere around! And the family that owns it are great! Great prices too!

My husband works 2nd shift in CT. We met for dinner on a Tuesday night. I was in the mood for a good meatball grinder and tortellini soup. Meatball grinder they did have, tortellini soup no, Meatballs were only ok, nothing I would go back for. Place was shabby and not very clean.

Staying near the airport and wanted to try something good and non-commercial. Small place but really friendly staff. Pizza was $2.50 for a HUGE slice. The grinders are huge too! The 8" is enough to share for teo people. Chicken was ok. Lots of choices though and pricing is great for amount of food.

We were unable to get out of the hotel to go get our own food, due to the blizzard, and this place was able to deliver and over all the food was good.

I'm biased.. I grew up down the street from this place. The grinders are incredibly generous and they always have been since the day they opened. I was actually there when they handed out free pizza on the first day. These are kind, considerate people who have passed the business down to their son. It's worth a stop by just... More

The good deal was more than enough for one. Not bad, but I suspect there is better out there. I like a soft dough and this one was crispy. Also, the place could use some updating.

Grew up eating from here and a trip home is not complete without getting pizza/eggplant/meatball grinder from here! The restaurant hasn't changed at all (yes, it's outdated but clean and therefore just fine). Thankfully the great food hasn't changed either.
