We wanted a place to meet in Westport for a family meal and we were not disappointed with our choice. the food was very good and a nice selection of home made dishes from scratch, not a massive food choice of canned and processed foods you can see at other Sunday Brunches. The atmosphere was that of an Italian Villa.... More

This review is long overdue, my family and I spent Christmas Eve at this lovey Italian restaurant. We were promptly seated by a window which was so beautiful when the snow started to gently fall as we sat there enjoying our dinner. Our waiter was attentive, very helpful with recommendations and even humorous at times. There were four of us... More

First time here after a good recommendation and pretty solid TA reviews too. Had the first sitting on this Monday night before Christmas and was immediately seated and bread brought to the table. Good sign...then we waited, and waited...waited and waited...even tried to ask a server a few questions, WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE MENU. I began to get concerned...It... More

Yesterday, I held a surprise birthday brunch for my husband at Via Sforza. There had been a heavy snowstorm the day before, and I was worried that they might not be open. They called me a couple of times to confirm that they would be open, and we had a private room to ourselves in the back of the restaurant.... More

Whenever we are in Westport in the evening and looking for a spontaneous place for Italian, we almost always end up at Via Sforza. We have watched it evolve for 20 years, the last 10 or so in its Westport location, and we have never been disappointed. The menu has imperceptibly changed over the years but somehow the quality has... More

Via Sforza has been our family go to for many years and the food is consistently good, with fresh ingredients and a wonderful value. The service is friendly and helpful if you are not sure what to order. Our favorites are the salads, pastas, and veal dishes.

Ham Serrano ham and salad with smoked mozzarella marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts with olives. Italian table cheese and breads. The main dishes were also great meatballs, chicken Parmesan, sausage and peppers, beef, chicken wit mushroom and... More

One of our favorite restaurants. We followed them from Norwalk to Westport....actually liked the other place better because it was a little quieter. The salads and pasta fagioli and seafood risotto are favorites. The tomato focaccia is a favorite. The house Chianti is excellent. No reservations allowed so it can get crowded especially on weekends.
