Fun for You and Pals

My buddies took me here for my birthday outing. Great mariner ambiance--it's an old barge beached on shore and is shored-up to keep it in place. It lists to one side which makes it interesting.

I was looking for a low-key brunch when someone remembered seeing this place featured on Diner, Drive-in's and Dives. We googled the menu and decided to give it a shot. I am thrilled we did! First of all, it is somewhat hidden and easy to miss, practically below the overpass and behind a building or two by the water. It... More

Traveling home from JFK I took my own advice and looked in TripAdvisor for a restaurant on the water near my location. After reading several different restaurant reviews we decided to try The Black Duck. The first thing we noticed were the tilted floors from this old seafaring barge. It sits on another sunken vessel so that's the reason for the... More

The food was very good. The Turkey Reuben was delicious as were the sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was different & made the dining experience better! We enjoyed our dinner there & I'd highly recommend it!

The slanted floor and tables may be a little disconcerting, but it's what gives this restaurant it's uniqueness. The burgers are good, as is the hangar steak. The overall experience is really pleasant and fun and the prices are reasonable.

This place is a classic! Where else can you find a waterfront saloon WITH great food?! I recommend everything from the steamers, steak au poivre to the stuffed burgers. Don't forget the homemade onion rings. Wolfie and Glen are very entertaining and skilled bartenders.

The atmosphere was so cute! We sat at the bar and looked on the Saugatuck River. The bartender was so nice and all his suggestions were great. The food was so good and at the right price. Would definitely go back!

Yes, yes, Guy Fieri sent us. When we moved here last year, it was a must for me to check it out. I can't say I expected much in terms of service and atmosphere. It's a dive bar! But we were a bit surprised. The bar tender was cool, he let us linger a while before and after. The food... More

Simple menu, burgers, and comfi food in a local bar atmosphere. They don't rush you and are happy to let you either sit and chat or drink as well. Ample free parking outside. A solid back up to have.

We were looking for some simple good food, but didn't want too much restauranty attitude. And that's just what we got. It was a busy Saturday night, so we took a seat at the bar. The bar tender was friendly if not more than a little cheeky. They had a good selection of craft/normal beers on tap, a few wines... More
