Well worth a stop at this casual cafe.

Excellent whole belly fried clams. I travel to CT to visit family from the south where you can not find whole bellies to save your life. I am very particular about my whole bellies and so knowing that, my family asked for recommendations and we ended up here. The cafe is really a barge on the... read more

It's just plain bad. Rude bartenders. Bad food, dirty, trying to be hip by being sleazy. The menu is retro American with all its negative connotation confirmed in reality. Stay away. Don't be swayed by its gritty persona.

Went via boat and had a fun time here on a Friday night in the summer. Busy so go early if you don't want to wait. Seafood is a good choice at the right price. Not fancy at all so don't be surprised. Nice transient dock.

So you want to go to an old tug bug turned bar/ café, go here. The menu is pretty extensive from salads to burgers to sandwiches to seafood. You name it and they probably got it somewhere. It is a local place turned famous after Guy Fieri visited so we tried it for eating. Been there before for fluids. The... More

This place is great! We were thoroughly disappointed with the Whelk next door, and we got more authentic seafood (clams casino, fried clams and a real hearty New England atmosphere) at the Black Duck. Bathrooms are the only thing to be wary of. But the price is fair, and the fare is good.

Not a good place. Locally popular for reasons beyond my imagination. It's pretty much a dump. Stay away. There are other spots in Westport worth a visit.

Recently visited Black Duck for a late lunch. Had their stuffed burger. It was huge but lacked in taste. Next time will try their seafood offerings. Service was great. Decent place to meet up friends for a beer.

Being lost, we asked where we could get a sandwich, and were directed to the Black Duck. We were told it was a popular spot, albeit, a bit 'funky'. Dumpy, would be more like it. Filthy, doesn't begin to describe it. And too greasy, would be putting it mildly. The tables lean.(all of them) My husbands hot sauce slid off... More

They squeezed 10 of us in for lunch. Burgers, Fish & Chips, Soft Shell Crabs and Lobster Rolls - not a single complaint at the table!

The Black duck has been in Westport forever and still looks like it's going to fall into the Saugatuck River. The burgers are the best in town .....Food is good overall for the money. It is an experience... it's tradition in Westport
