Baked Stuffed Lobster not Worth the Extra Money

My husband and I went here in the middle of January specifically for the Baked Stuff Lobster. I ordered the 2 lb. lobster. The lobster was cooked well and had great flavor. The stuffing is advertised as a combination of crab meat, shrimp and scallops. It had a little bit of shredded crab meat... read more

I have been at happy hour several times at Westbrook, and the chowders are good. This is where I first had Overshores Beer.

The food was excellent - very fresh and nicely prepared. The drinks were good too - we each had a different cocktail and all enjoyed them. The service was frankly not up to par with the food. The restaurant was practically empty, yet we had to wait 15 minutes to place the drinks order, then a further 20 minutes to... More

We were seated right away. The appetizer took forever to arrive and was served at the same time as our salads - these should not be served at the same time! The "wedge of lettuce" in the salad was the smallest we've ever seen. Mushroom appetizer was VERY greasy! Quality of the two dinners was fair at most. Dessert tasted... More

I headed there early, and hit happy hour. Good thing. They had a good selection of craft beers for five dollars, and a good selection of small choices - also a good find. I found the place to be much cleaner than the average lobster shack, as though the owner really cared. And I enjoyed my fish tacos, my clam... More

Family friendly and neighborhood feel with excellent seafood. The cod on angel hair pasta and the fried seafood sampler were excellent. The chicken dishes were also good - for non-seafood eaters.

Delightfully located in a 19th century New England mill building Westbrook is an excellent value. All the usual sea food fare with some exceptional offerings like the delicious 4 cheese polenta and fried shrimp the lobster fritters and hearty lobster bisque. Service was friendly and very speedy

Westbrook Lobster has good food, but not good enough for me to say "you have to get here"! They have a good happy hour and it is a friendly place, but the food is just average. Our friends had cod and salmon which they were very happy with, but nothing out of the ordinary as far as I was concerned.

We have been coming here for YEARS as our go to nice seafood dinner at the shore place. Came here for my birthday dinner recently. I got the 1.5 lb lobster bake dinner with rhode island clam chowder, mashed potatoes and veggies. The chowder was too salty. The lobster seemed kind of small, not much flavor. Veggies were great. My... More
