A good Catch

Fish is always the freshest and cooked perfectly. Favorite is the grilled salmon on spring greens! But friends always have the fried selections.

This place is OK for a quick meal. We had clam chowder which was very watery and mostly potatoes. The lobster roll was small for the price. It's very noisy and crowded. There are much better places in the area for fresh fish.

My friend and I stopped in for a late lunch today around 1:45pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a booth. Once we were seated, the service was prompt. Seems like we were served by about three different servers during our stay. All were pleasant. We both ordered the Broiled Scrod lunch special ($12.99) which included two sides.... More

Lenny and Joe's is a restaurant that we always bring out of town family and friends. The hot crab roll is amazing...the salmon is delicious and the two or three way fried fish platter is amazing. Seems that the portions have been smaller lately, but still delicious.

We wife/daughters/mother) visited a few days ago with snow falling outside - my first time there. I would say this is some of the very best seafood I have ever had, and I have enjoyed seafood all over the planet. The chowder was good, but the lobster bisque was fantastic. We got fried calamari for an appetizer, and it was... More

We had tried to go to a favorite of ours near Groton for lobster rolls, but alas, it was closed for season--son remembered going to Lenny & Joe's so we set off-lots of small towns on the way-pretty drive and then the busy, friendly restaurant! Our waitress was very pleasant and we joked with her as if we knew her... More

Stopped on our drive back to Rhode Island from Hamden, based on family member's recommendation. We were not disappointed. Our fish sandwiches were yummy, lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. The onion rings (more like onion strings) were also lightly breaded and a treat. The fries were fine. Service was prompt; waitress was particularly perky and friendly. And the price was... More

I have been going to the coast for years. I have never tried Lenny and Joes until one day i said I need to see why this place is always so busy. I really didn't see a difference in the food taste wise compared to Johnny Ads. The waitress was not friendly and they sat us near the soda machine... More

We love the fresh seafood and fisherman's platter! Very good clam chowder and calamari. The prices are reasonable. Always a god meal!
