Summer Bucket List Place to go

this place is packed all the time on weekends - sometimes you have to wait in line to eat outside, but the place cranks so the wait isn't too long. its real hot inside so outside is the place to be - just bring bug juice. there is an outdoor bar area which is cool too - it is separate... read more

We've passed this restaurant many times, but never stopped because it always looked too crowded. I'm glad we finally opted to dine here. The seafood was fresh and the service was friendly. We both enjoyed the clam chowder which had just the right seasoning. For entrees, I devoured the softshell crab sandwich. This a lunch special and it was special!... More

Great atmosphere, great live music. Outdoor seating. Good food. Good service. It does tend to get VERY crowded but the line moves fast if you have to wait. Great people watching. Lively, fun place! Onion rings are da bomb.

If you like cold lobster rolls, this is a great place. The lobster salad had a great flavor and was a great size. My husband loved it. I, however, am not that fond of shellfish, but love fried chicken and tried theirs... not so good.. the pieces were small and the coating was hard. The outside seating is right on... More

This is a popular seafood joint with outdoor seating along a coastal estuary. The service was very good, the food was okay, and the company we were with was excellent. I would not recommend the lettuce wedge with shrimp. The lettuce was drowned in blue cheese dressing. The onion rings were outstanding.

We just ate here over the weekend for the 5th time already this spring, which says a lot about the food since we have a 4.5 to 5 hour round trip drive to get here. By far, our faves are their whole belly clams with an onion rings upgrade vs the fries. Also love their scallops, shrimp, ice cold draft... More

Recommended by the hotel clerk. Bring a good appetite they don't scrimp on the food. Very informal setting, A very good value if you like seafood.

Busy summer scene. We ate on a deck overlooking a marshy inlet. Boats, seagulls. Very fast service but everything tasted like Sysco Frozen Portion Control: bland taste, no fresh or thoughtful. If you don't care if your halibut tastes as if it was frozen, thawed several times, you'll be happy. The food is bland bulk. Great ice cream place next... More

They don't scrimp on the drinks, but the wings, fish and burgers were dry and overcooked. The location is good and the live music is enjoyable, but is you want a good meal this is not the place. I have been a couple of times because I figure Hey you get a bad night, but after 3 times, we gave... More

Second time in 11 years is still two times too many. I truly cannot understand why anyone goes to this place. The noise from what they like to call "singing" bridge is comparable to I-95 in Norwalk. Add noisy screaming lyrics on the speakers and the place becomes totally disagreeable. Add blackened swordfish sandwich with lukewarm fish and guess what... More
