The food and service were excellent. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, but it was a warm summer night and we decided that an outdoor table on the front porch would be nice, and it was. The Gumbo soup (chicken or seafood -we had both) was outstanding. Don't miss the tomato vinaigrette salad dressing. Main courses were substantial and... More

Went to Creative Cooking after having driven past it many times over the years. Don't know why I never went in, but I do know I'll be back. Went for dinner with my wife and 4 friends. All 6 of us will be returning for more. The Gumbo's both Chicken and Seafood were simply the best. The main courses were... More

Not much to not like. The food is great and the amount is adequate. A little pricy but the food is worth it.

We got reservations at the last minute for the corner booth in the restaurant. My wife and I wore our wedding dresses their and everyone gave compliments. The staff was very polite including the owner. The food was very authentic. I have never tasted bourbon chicken and red beans & rice that tasted that good in my life. It was... More

Nice restaurant in an old house with great food and service. What more can you want! Live music some nights which sounded pretty good.

I came here last year for brunch. It was gross so I never returned. Some friends really wanted to come for dinner, so I decided to give it a second chance. Glad I did!! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was hip. We went on a Friday evening while a live band was playing in the bar. Was fun... More

I have driven by this restaurant any number of times over 25 years, a mere 21 miles from my home in Branford. Tonight is the first time, it being Mardi Gras Weekend, that I stopped in. This is a family owned restaurant and it shows. From the moment I walked in it felt homey. The food I had stood out... More

We went to Creative Cooking for lunch on a Sunday. It was not busy so we had time to enjoy speaking with our waitress. The restaurant had a good selection of draft and bottled beer, and we were able to taste samples of beers and wines to help us decide what to order. The food portions were generous and the... More

The atmosphere reminded me of New Orleans French Quarters. The chicken gumbo soup was fabulous. The shrimp jambalaya was good needed to be a little bit spicier would return
