Took the grand kids and their parents for some ice cream. What a delightful little place. The ice cream is to die for!!! You've got to stop and gobble up what must be a million calories--it is way too good to be healthy, but who cares!!!

This is a working dairy farm that makes their own ice cream. The flavor list was endless. I doubt they have a bad flavor. I tried the brownie batter (with brownie chunks, of course) ice cream, and honestly, my mouth is watering as I type this. It was great to sit on hay bales while enjoying my ice cream. It's... More

Pick a flavor. Any flavor. Red raspberry chocolate chunk. Coconut ice cream w/Chocolate covered almonds. Mocha chocolate chunk. Pistachio. Or just "plain vanilla". Made with fresh ingredients - this premium ice cream is guaranteed to satisfy. Warning: may become addictive. Get a dish/cone at the window or get a pint or quart to go.

Remember mking ice cream in the back yard with real milk and fresh ingredients, block ice and rock salt and cranking for what seemed like hours and the result was something that you just can't get at the market. Well try Tulmeadow Farms. This is not a restaurant its the best icream stand with farm products anywhere. Look around at... More

Tulmeadow has the best ice cream in the Avon/Simsbury/Canton area and I have tried them all. Price is a little higher but everything is homemade including the delicious fudge on the sundaes. Flavors vary but there are always lots to choose from. Try the raspberry choc chip if they have it - tastes like real raspberries with dark choc chips.

Excellent homemade ice cream. Sit on a bail of hay and listen to the cows across the street. Very country.

For a pleasant little trip with the kids, drive out through the country roads in Simsbury, take a walk on the hiking trails in West Simsbury, and finish the afternoon with ice cream at Tulmeadow Farm. Really wonderful ice cream, and their farm store is full of great local food, both farm produce and prepared foods. Connecticut at its summery... More

Great place to visit. Delicious ice cream, ice cream sundaes, milk shakes, shave ice. They also sell plants and have a fruit and veggie stand in the farm store along with frozen pies (which are incredible), bacon, milk, eggs, etc. They do not serve lunch.. unless you consider ice cream lunch. Works for me! Great place for family visit. The... More

No visit to the Farmington Valley should be complete without a visit to Tulmeadow Farm. Not only is the ice cream excellent, with lots of great flavors(raspberry chip is their specialty), but it's all homemade on the farm, produced by the cows you can see in the fields while you enjoy your treat. They also have a farm store where... More
