Everyone enjoyed their meal. and Ulas was right on top of... More

There is a fairly wide variety of international places to eat in the New Haven area. Many choices, lots of competition. This is a good thing. We have eaten Turkish food in other international cities (e.g. NYC). We have some basis for comparison. 1. Pleasant staff and service 2. Mostly authentic setting - environs and music 3. A complete dinner... More

Stop reading the reviews... Go eat here immediately. When you arrive, get an appetizer and then get the mixed grill entree. Finish up with some hot tea and desert. Don't rush... Take your time and savor the flavor.

One of the few places that I go to that I can count on to be excellent. The service is up there with top line restaurants. The food is very good and if you've never had Turkish food, you need not worry. The waiters will assist you with ordering and you will be pleased with your meal. They even have... More

The name "Saray" means "Palace" in Turkish. This jewel in the rough is my favorite Turkish restaurant in Connecticut. The food is authentic, fresh, tasty, and abundant. Their prices are somewhat reasonable and, although they do not serve alcohol, they have a liberal BYOB policy. Note: When you do bring alcohol (as I do), prepare for angry glances from some... More

There are plenty of choices to make for an appetizer which include soup or other dishes and for dinners. Most decisions include a meat, a rice and another carb which looked like quinoa, so choice was a little heavy on the white foods. Portions were generous so brought some home and remade it into something more familiar the next day.... More

The hummus is so tasty and the bread is freshly baked. Ask about their soup of the day. Last time, we had a lemon chicken soup that was fabulous!! Saray's has such a huge menu that you are sure to find something you like. I enjoy the doner kebab and all the chicken dishes here. The lamb chops are also... More

Took two staff for dinner, a real treat. Someone next table had 15 people celebrating a 50th birthday. Worth the trip.

We love Saray and eat there often. The food is so good. I always get the eggplant salad. It's a tiny whole eggplant that is served cold. We have tried several of the kabobs - excellent. I adore the salmon dish with veggies, always perfectly cooked. Everything is so fresh. The lentil soup is the best I've had. And the... More

For the past year my boyfriend has been trying to get me to go here. I wasn't sure what Turkish food was so I was hesitant. Last night was his birthday so we went. The outside doesn't look like much, and actually the inside doesn't either. But it was probably the best meal I've had in ages. Absolutely phenomenal. We... More
