Turks is a West Haven institution for its yummy and quick food. The food is great - it's basically your local fish/clam shack along Captain Thomas Blvd. Onion Rings are some of the best I've had and portions and taste always rate high. The ambiance is quite odd though. I've eaten in once but generally go to the "quick serve"... More

We have lived in West Haven 14 years and I have never been to Turk's before tonight. I will say this; the service and food are better than Jimmy's but it's nothing to write home about. We wanted to try it so we took the kids; it was dead and service was excellent we were the only ones in the... More

If you are diet conscious and not a fan of fried/greasy food, this isn't the place for you. (Or me) There are some broiled seafood options and a few salads but that's about it. However, if fried fish, shrimp, French fries and corn are your thing- def check it out. (Only veggie option is corn- other than beets. Are they... More

We enjoyed a great dinner at Turk's on Father's Day. Quite a selection of sea food. I had the broiled scrod. It was delicious. Cooked just right. It came with sides; either fries or baked potato and cole slaw. They are also known for their freshly made mozzerralla sticks, served with a Marinara sauce. Also have a variety for their... More

Great food and service ! Best thing besides the food was the service and the fact that when you leave a tip the server gets to keep the entire amount unlike some other place across the street !

Turks is amazing. I decided to celebrate my birthday at Turks last night. I hadn't been there in quite a while and really didn't know what to expect. To my surprise, I was served the best fried shrimp dinner I have had in many many years. Thanks Turks for not changing one bit.Your meals are fabulous.Thank you for a wonderful... More

I've been going here for years. It has some of the best seafood in the area. From the soups to the fish sandwiches to the hot dog platter, the food here is delicious. We will keep going back.

Our family has been going here for years. The fried seafood is fantastic, I recommend the clams, scallops, stripped clams, soft shell crabs, but it's all good. They make their own French fries which are THE best around. Also try the onion rings and strawberry shortcake. We vacation from Cape Cod up to Maine and hit all the seafood places,... More

Food was disgusting. Broiled entry came submerged in water. Vegetables were canned. Place was dank and felt like you we're dining in a musty basement. Service was good but the food was so bad, it didn't matter.

food was poor at best, but what was really the most disgusting thing was the place is beyond tired....it's filthy. The bathroom made a Mobil station on the highway look like a palace. I have lived in the area my whole life and it's been years since I went there so thought it would be fun - OMG...how anyone on... More
