We have eaten at Pepes and Sallies (when you can get in. I don't believe in waiting in lines). We are fond of Modern, but hands down, Zupps is the best. The mozz and sausage is to die for. They also have craft beers on tap, adding to the experience. Not to be missed.

Might be a bit of a hole in the wall, but better than any New Haven Pizzeria. The pizza is not too thin or too thick, has fresh ingredients and is perfectly cooked.

I have had the same pizza restaurant favorites for years. Today I am not only adding Zuppardis APizza to the list but I am putting it in the top two. I will start by saying that none of my favorites are in the business of decorating and Zuppardis is no different. It's all about their pizza and I like that!... More

I grew up in Fairfield County, and around there, driving far for a good restaurant was nothing out of the norm. Had I known about Zuppardi's years ago, it would have been our family's Friday night spot FOR SURE! I have been eating at Zuppardis about a year now, but when I first tried it, I told my parents "I... More

This is a family owned and run pizza restaurant using homemade ingredients that makes some of the BEST pizza pies of all of the pizza restaurants in the entire New Haven area. It even matches the Wooster Street Pizza restaurants. They make the best sausage (homemade sausage) pizzas I have every tasted. Don't miss out - try them and you... More

This is simple straight forward New Haven pizza without many trappings or extras. Tomato, mozzarella starter was great. We should have had two. We kept the pies simple with one cheese and one sausage. Sausage was good but kept slide off pieces. Cheese was good. Crust was crispy but minor gripe is that it was crispy to point of interior... I grew up enjoying Zupp"s abets. I moved to Texas in 1971 where there is no real pizza, however, Zuppardi's is the first place that I go whenever I go home to visit. Their sausage and mushroom pizza is amazing. They are easily the best in the New Haven area, better than Pepe's or Sally's. Looking forward to my next... More

In my opinion this pizza is as good as or maybe even better than Frank Pepe pizza!!!! Why bother going to Pepe's and wait in long lines when this pizza is similar? The staff is always friendly and the place is always busy.
