After a long stroll along the beach trail, we decided to try it. My wife had the fish sandwich...two slices of white toast on the side and three filets of lightly battered sole...very fresh and value priced. I had the fish and chips...very fresh haddock... lightly battered...crispy seasoned fries...delicious. Go for the seafood and view of the beach across the... More

So we heard about this place from some family members. But their description didn't even come close. I love the look and feel of this place and the food OMG . I ordered the treasure chest because I couldn't make up my mind as to what to eat. I didn't know that I was going to have to find room... More

As I have mentioned in other reviews my wife and I have been working our way down a list of places in CT that serve lobster rolls. So far, after visiting about 7 or 8 places, Stowe's is our favorite. Others have been very good and deserve a repeat visit but Stowe's is our favorite. The seasoning is just the... More

For a long time I thought this place was a bait and tackle shop. A friend told me about Stowe's about 5 years ago and I'm glad she did . We went to Stowe's and the food was unbelievable. Very very fresh and the staff is nice. We had the Treasure Chest which is the seafood combo platter and it... More

I love seafood. That being said I will tell you that I am also very picky since there are loads of seafood places in Southern Connecticut and I've been to most of them. Stowe's is my place to go when I am in need of a lobster roll fix or some fresh fried clams, shrimp, onion rings, cod, stuffed clams,... More

To start off it is a small shack, VERY interesting inside. Yes most tables are outside, " in the partking lot", close. Its all paper and plastic. Parking is to say the least, tight. Why go there and give it a 4 ? The FOOD, some of the best seafood around. Great view of the water. The fish tastes like... More

Have been living in West Haven for 7 years and yet to have had Stowe's, finally tried it. NOT disappointed. Delicious seafood and the best thing is the prices are really reasonable. Usually fried clams (whole, not strip) are an arm and a leg more than other seafoods, but Stowe's keeps it consistent. I really appreciate it. One visit made... More

The best Lobster roll I have ever had. We were in town for the build of "The Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play" build. Charlotte Bacons playground. We were among an amazing group of people. Decided to have lunch at Stowe's seafood and we are glad we did. Great people, service and food.

Period. End of story. This is a dive with no beer and cash only. But awesome for the lobster rolls. It has almost no seats. Old fashioned sodas. Great stuffed clams and clam chowder. Just a cool place.
