We liked it!

Soft shell crabs, oysters, beers. Informal setting, good views, nice waitstaff. Foods done right. What else ya want, buddy?

Nice view of the water as you dine on great seafood as well as other types of food. Nice bar area as well. Fried seafood at a very reasonable price. Great char broiled burgers as well.

We stopped in to this restaurant tonight. There were no draught beers on tap. What kind of establishment doesn't have beer on a tap these days? Talking with some friendly customers at the bar. They told us there hasn't been any beer selection in quite some time. The vodka selection was scarce. This worries me about the quality of the... More

Spoiler alert. My stepson worked here four years, mostly pleasently, but had hair raising tales of owner craziness. Vuew is delightful. Staff is pleasant. Large proportions, well prepared with attentive waiters. I would especially recommend the french onion soup except my stepson used to be the preparer, so I don't know if that has fallen off in quality. Otherwise, food... More

Hmmmm, I don't know how to review this place. We had lobster rolls and they were very good (a little on the dry side, but the waitress said to let her know if we wanted extra butter and we did not ask for it so it's our own fault), but later that night I did not feel well at all... More

We spent the day on the beach and stopped in for an early dinner. The place was not crowded and you have to park on the far side of the building, then walk around to get in. Our server kept our water glasses full but never checked in on us during the meal. We received our food from someone on... More

Friendly owner, (Paul). Old fashion fried beach food well prepared. Blue point oysters were very good. Pick any combo of sea food you like, for your meal. Nice touch.

We went the other night for a few beers. Even though the bar was busy the bartender was great. We also met a couple of nice regulars there. We didn't try the food...we will next time.

I've gone to see Paul and the Oyster River staff every time I have visited the US and its one of the best places for music laughs and to meet some good long lasting friends. The food is delish and the service always friendly and quick. I have made some great friends here :)

Cool place with lots of food and cheap. The oysters are really good and so is the fried clams. The stuffed clams not so much. The service was excellent. Why not more stars. The place is a dive bar. So go with friends for a low key night and fun. Don't go expecting an elegant dinner with white table cloth.
