This day and age value and service are the utmost importance. Ordered some food to go. Got there to pick up and found prices have risen drastically. Almost 30% more. Ordered wings well done. They were not! Portions seemed smaller also. Always wondered why they were a ghost town at 9pm while a neighboring bar was very busy. Now I... More

This place is just down the street from our house and we visit it often. The portions are large (they used to be HUGE but now just large) and the service is friendly. It's definitely a local favorite but even on a busy night, you can usually get seated within 15 - 20 minutes (if there's even a wait). Food... More

It is unfortunate that the inside needs such updating because the food , service and view of the beach is great ! The rug on the floor is faded and dirty. Tables and chairs are old, chipped and need painting. The walls with paneling have chipped paint with old paint showing through. Inside atmosphere means a lot when eating. It's... More

Great calamari! The place is perfect for a drink and some friend seafood in a less greasy setting than it's surrounding restaurant choices. The beach is right across the street.

While visiting the area we have two places that are a must to dine at. One of those places is the Oyster River Tavern. Small place in a nice shoreline location off the beaten path. Sometimes a small wait but well worth it. Half orders on the menu are of ample size for most any large portion eater. Be bold... More

I stumbled upon this place last week and was glad I did. Looks like a neighborhood place to eat some good seafood and have a beer. The service was good and my broiled seafood platter was really enjoyable. If ever back in the area, I will stop by again.

Have written about ORT before. It has been a while so, time for an update. Tried it again last week. Pros. Most portions are still large. atmosphere is cordial, views are interesting. Seating is roomy and comfortable. Four of us tried different menu items Mahi Mahi special, Fish and Chips, Fried Shrimp and Broiled Cod. Entrees come with a choice... More

This super friendly restaurant was recommended by a desk clerk at a hotel we were staying at. Our appetizers of colossal shrimp cocktail and hot lobster roll were as good as we've ever had anywhere. Entres of fried seafood combo and broiled haddock were good but not great for the price. The best aspect of this establishment was the wait... More

This place was a standard for my fried seafood fix for many years prior to the closing and after the reopening (I've reviewed here before).Last night for the second time in a row no oysters so I ordered whole clams (not available either) so I got the shrimp and scallops which were over salted and battered that was reminiscent of...
