Was in the mood for a little bbq outstanding find for sure. The briscut was perfect cooked just right not smothered in sauce and so tender. The mix sauce had the perfect amount of kick to it too. And both sides Cole slaw and cornbread were delicious. A tiny bit on the pricy side and a little slow but the... More

There is a lot on the menu, and everything I have tried is delicious- pulled pork, burnt ends, bbq chicken, mac and cheese, cornbread, etc. I love their coleslaw. It's the best. This is a great take out place, or a spot for a quick sit-down meal.

The best spare ribs ever with barbecue sauce specially made and cooked by Uncle Wille , with sweet potato fries n cole slaw sidings. The price, about $15..00 but 7pieces big spare ribs for two is more than enough.

It's football season and what pairs better with football than barbecue? So on Saturday when my wife and I were preparing for the Notre Dame v Michigan game we thought that take out from Uncle Willie's BBQ in West Haven would be a great fit. For those who know me or who have followed my reviews, you know that I... More

Mediocre BBQ, mac and cheese was gluey-slaw was less than average. Cornbread was lackluster. Staff was very nice. Would not go back here.

Best barbecue food in the area hands down. Since it opened, however, the prices have at least doubled. Two dinners and two drinks came to $41! Paying sit down restaurant prices for a step above fast food. You can sit down at Texas Roadhouse down the street and get two steaks for less.

We’ve eaten here a few times and we have never been disappointed. This time around we ordered the pulled pork, cole slaw, mac n’ cheese and hushpuppies. The pulled pork was delicious and practically melts in your mouth. Their great sauces only add to the deliciousness (I love the Memphis sweet and 50/50 sauce) and quite frankly tastes great on... This is my 4th visit to Uncle Willie's in West Haven. Great pulled pork flavored with a spicy BBQ sauce. I opted for the mashed sweet potatoes made happy with baked cinnamon apples. Lots of food! I didn't try the corn bread that came with it - but was told it was good. The order taker was more focused on... More

You have to be prepared to like Uncle Willie's. Service is slow but friendly. In its new digs there are enough tables to go around but they are mostly upstairs. Bring your own metal if you prefer not-plastic utensils. And it is relatively expensive. BUT, the food is fine. Pulled chicken, ribs: everything I've ever had there is well prepared... More

I very much dislike speaking poorly of restaurants, even less so of food, but our last visit merits just that. We have gone here a total of three times. The first two times feeling it was just barely mediocre, each time thinking, "it'll be better next time, it has to be it's rated so highly on yelp." Well, such was... More
