Just plain outstanding in service, food and atmosphere. A great place for Boy's Night Out as well as for a nice meal and beer with my wife.

Brought my out of town family members here and they couldnt believe what a cozy little spot this was. This restaurant has been here forever and has some of the best comfort food around. One of my favorite restaurants in the Hartford area. The manager Steve was very friendly and accommodating.

We have visited multiple times since the food always promises to be satisfactory. They provide normal pub food though their meat loaf is a cut above most. Their schtick is hundreds of pictures of pugs located everywhere in the restaurant. Their Sunday brunch is specials on a menu. Prices are fair for the most part though the brunch is a... More

We went here twice in recent times. The personality of the place is pub, with a decent size bar and casual dining on either side. The meals ranged from pub fare stuffed sandwiches to very well prepared entrees. Our table of four ordered two sandwiches and two meals. Everything was really good and no one had a complaint. Afterward we... More

Tried the half roast chicken this time - was very moist, good garlic mashed potatoes, and a veggie medley. Doused in gravy, forgot to say "no thanks". Bread at the beginning is delicious, tastes homemade?, as well as french onion soup. Tried the side of mac & cheese, would never get that again - tasted worse than velveeta. Lemon tart... More

We selected this restaurant because there were so many of my husband's favorites on the menu: chicken pot pie, meat loaf, shepherd's pie, along with a broader variety including burgers. He got the meat loaf and it was quite good (though buried under a dark mushroom sauce that I could have done without). It was served with mashed potatoes and... More

Great local place. Every so often when I get to West Hartford I stop in. Their mac and cheese is made with tub pasta which standing up in a backing dish. Plenty of cheese. Done to perfection. Also had pot roast. Was not the best but passable. Service was good. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

I love this place. First time I went was last year with a groupon. I brought my teenage son with me. We ordered a few things off the menu (the salad I would pass on), the waitress recommended we try the Asian spicy wings. I am so glad she did because they were fantastic. We were hooked! I've been back... More

A group of 20 of us ( many of us did not know each other) visited Newington, Ct. This pug was recommended to us for dinner so we made a reservation for 20 at 6PM. When they seated us we informed them that most of us were strangers to each other and we would appreciate it if we could all... More

We love the warm, cozy pub atmosphere of the Corner Pug. Great pub food--love their shepard's pie, chicken pot pie, burgers and pub fries. Great desserts as well. Staff is friendly, and service is excellent!
