Fantastic Chicken Salad Sandwich, Very Good Service

My friend invited me to join her for lunch at the Pond House Cafe on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:00pm. We had a most enjoyable experience. Eleven of us attended the Easter Buffet Brunch. We all agreed that we would not attend again. It cost $55 a person with an 18% tip. My son had to pay IN ADVANCE! There was no mimosa offered, just orange juice, tea and coffee. There was a meager buffet. Three meats were offered and they were good. The dessert table... More

Went to Pond House Cafe with a friend for brunch on Sunday, March 15. My friend suggested it before I head out back to NYC. We waited about 40min but it was worth it. The food is delicious, full of flavor and pleasurable for my taste receptors. I had the meatloaf eggs Benedict and my friend had the brunch special... More

The Pond House is an exquisite setting Elizabeth Park, so a meal anytime between spring and fall offers the extra treat of a walk through the beautiful grounds if you have the time. Catch the rose garden in season and it makes the visit worthwhile just on its own. Order what you will - they are simply incapable of putting... More

My girlfriends and I just enjoyed a delicious meal at the Pond House. And it was so much more relaxing than going into West Hartford center. We had 3 different salads and liked them all but the Brussels sprouts Caesar was the best. The scallops were amazing and the salmon delicious. Great use of technology in presenting the menu and... I don't know why, but this place reminds me so much of Alice in Wonderland for some reason, regarding everything from the decor, the tableware, the place settings, even the Pond House logo is reminiscent of the quick of Alice. Came here for a late Friday night dinner with my beau, we had reservations, were seated promptly. Wait staff was... More

I am currently writing about my third visit here for a wedding. The room looks very nice and it's decorated well and the staff does try hard however management is very disorganized cause more issues than the staff is able to fix.

I had lunch here recently with a friend. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the season and we were seated promptly in a booth as requested. We had reservations. The food was good. However, I did not learn until the meal was almost over that my guest's salad had not been dressed. I asked her if she wanted me to... More

This casual restaurant in a park on a pond has inventive food, which was well executed. The surroundings are serene, and it is also a party venue. The absolute best thing I had here was the little biscotti that came with the coffee. The nachos were so flavorful, with many layers of spices--not hot and spicy--really mellow, but well-rounded. My... More
