My husband and I loved the setting : low lights, enveloping booths, old fashioned Italian charm, relatively low noise level. Servers were friendly and prompt. The chopped salad with a shrimp on top was delicious: like the one at Carmen Anthony's nearby but with a less overpowering dressing. The entree was really disappointing. We both had shrimp stuffed with what... More

I am a frequent customer at this restaurant and would highly recommend it. The Italian specialties are very well done but the restaurant is very versatile and does an excellent job with traditional American food. Steak dinners here are as good as anywhere. Seafood dishes are well done and there is a good salad selection as well.

Diorio has been one of the best restaurants in the area, bar none, for many years. Recently its food seems to have been on a down slide. We are consistent repeat customers, and as the food is a bit pricey (which I don't mind for what their quality was....) now I'm expecting just a tad bit more. Before I go... More

I took my girlfriend to this restaurant and it was superb. The restaurant has a classic feel to it and I felt like I was transported back to the 1930's. The décor had integrity to the past. Booths lined both sides of the side walls of the room. The dark woodwork was handsome and inviting. Our server was gracious and... More

I had a steak that melted in the mouth! My father had a filet that he seemed to enjoy as well. The ambiance was a bit dark but quaint with the white linen cloth tables with soft candle light that gave a soft glow over the tiled floors. I genuinely thought it was a scrumptious meal that only slightly boarded... More

Enjoyed good service...salads and fish dishes were pretty good. Pasta with sausage was greasy and surprisingly bad. Atmosphere is reminiscent of old time American "Italian" restaurants. A little heavy-handed, though.

The restaurant is reminiscent of an old school NYC saloon. The food was delicious and the service was friendly & timely. The champagne-tinis and the crab cakes are awesome!!

My daughter and I had a lovely meal here. Our server was fantastic and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is quiet which allows for great conversation. It connects to the courtyard Marriot which is convenient. We highly recommend it but it is a bit expensive.

Great restaurant in Waterbury! The decor is very cool with old school style and a great ambiance. There's a really positive vibe in the restaurant; upbeat, buzzing, but not over the top noisy either. Our waitress, Laurie, was fantastic. She was funny, honest, and attentive to all of our needs. As were seeing a show at the Palace later that... More
