We were in Waterbury for work and checked out Nino’s. The location was easy to get to from our downtown hotel. The atmosphere upon walking in is not wonderful but they did showcase their homemade pastas so we decided to give it a try. We were given a nice bread basket as we waited for our meal. The portions were... More

Great food, nice portions and fast courteous service at a nice price the overall ambiance puts you in a feel for an old world Italian village with super friendly people waiting on you from the time you enter up until you are ready to go, totally unrushed service

This was a great restaurant with friendly service, wonderful menu and great dessert. The Italian seafood was outstanding.

I read good reviews of the restaurant but didn't expect anything other than something to fill my stomach, because the restaurant is adjacent to a ratty motel. I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta is homemade, and the eggplant is light and tender. The bread and salad are average...salad dressing lacks much flavor. Wine, like most restaurants, is overpriced. If I... More

We made an early reservation and when we arrived our table wasn't ready. There were only 2 tables of people in the restaurant. Why did we have to wait? Food was plentiful but not as fresh tasting as we expected. Salad appeared pre-made. Greens weren't real fresh. I small cherry tomato and one slice of cucumber along with some shredded... More

After a week on the road we were delighted to find this restaurant for dinner. The tomato sauce on the pasta was absolutely to die for. I had the pasta combo (stuffed shells, lasagne and ravioli). It was a generous but not wasteful portion for one person and came with either soup or a salad. The chef did a really... More

This restaurant is adjacent to the Quality Inn I was staying at. So, I tried it out mostly for the sake of convenience. The place has a casual Italian restaurant atmosphere. Nothing special but still comfortable enough. I was greeted by a friendly hostess and quickly seated. My server was very friendly and cheerful though service was inconsistent at times.... More

We're traveling on the east coast, and as seniors, we usually split an entrée while we're on the road so we don't gain a huge amount of weight, especially for carb-heavy meals like pasta. We're staying at the Quality Inn (nice place) adjacent to Nino's and thought we'd just walk over and give it a try. When we told the... More

This is a big restaurant but you may still wait for a table on weekends. Great italian food at reasonable prices. Great for families and couples. They have a bar side with TV's and booths and a dining room side with mostly booths.
