The salad and main meal were very good (chix parm and cavetelli, sausage and rabi). The red sauce was tasty too. The bread seemed a bit stale. The service was very slow but the waitress was personable and apologetic. The prices weren't too bad. Soda was reasonable and each entree ran about $2.00 more than the local average. If our... More

Far be it for this Scotch-Irish guy to tell an Italian how to cook but in this particular case, I have no choice. Based on a recommendation of the hotel front desk folks at the Hampton Inn in Waterbury, CT, my wife and I decided to give D'Amelio's Italian Restaurant in Waterbury a try for dinner. I must say that... More

The veal dishes are exceptional. The prices are fairly reasonable. The service is a bit amateurish but gets the job done. It is a great choice if you're in the area.

Good, sizable portions for the price; wine was nicely portioned. Very pretty inside. Had the bolognese which was delicious. Great for a romantic dinner for two.

Made a reservation during a weekday for dinner. We arrived and were greeted by owner and quickly seated. Our table was in the same area as bar which as night went on got increasingly louder. Waitress was quick to arrive, had helpers that constantly walked by to check on bread basket, take dirty plates and see if you needed anything... More

We dined outside on a lovely night. This is our second summer night visit on the patio which is pleasant, but could do without noisy motorcycles! The first visit the owner's daughter waited on us and did a fantastic job. She was a big plus to this establishment. Second visit she left for school and service was not the same....ok... More

Have been coming here for a very long time. Things have definitely changed since I first started coming here but the food is still great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants Italian food with lots of left overs!

Food is pretty good and would be ok on less busy nites but usually the bar is full and too noisy to hear your dinner partners... I'd spend a few? $ more and go to La Tavola just 100 yards away
