Went to dinner on a Sunday night and not many people were there which was unusual according to our waitress. The atmosphere was fantastic, the place large, and they played Italian music as we entered the restaurant. We were seated in the garden area with a few other patrons and I bet the main dining room is filled to capacity.... More

A Waterbury native suggested San Marino. Located behind a nondescript building the restaurant is bright, airy with plenty of seating. There is a family atmosphere, which is represented in some of the menu items that have family portions. The food was very good, portions were large. Very friendly staff. Will definitely add this to my list for Waterbury area restaurants.

Met with friends for drinks and light fare. Mid afternoon. Had a large delicious Caprese and the bread basket contained bread so good, one of our party asked for a small bowl of spaghetti sauce/gravy to dip in. Two Italians, myself included, pronounced it the best marinara sauce we have had outside our family kitchen as we dipped our way... More

My friends and I went to San Marino for dinner, and all enjoyed our meals. The entree prices were very reasonable, as were the wine prices (at least for the bottles!). My meal was very good, I had the the Clams Fra Diavlo (white sauce). I asked for hot, and to me it tasted more like medium, but it was... More

This restaurant is a favorite of ours. We were introduced to it many years ago and it has stood the test of time. The portions are large and the food freshly prepared. We enjoy the pastas and fish dishes.

Consistent. Good service. Pork chops with Broccolirabe or Orrechiette are alway good. Specials and Roman nights are good value.

I have been going to San Marino for years and the food is consistently good. We have dined for dinner and many functions. They have been in Waterbury for many, many years and create very good food at reasonable prices.
