Went to Cafe Biaggio last night with several friends. Ended up there because the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked. I hadn't been there in a year or more and was a little skeptical after I read some of these reviews. It is true that when you walk in it looks like it is closed and there were... More

My friend and I decided to go to Biagio since it had been a while since our last visit. We were both dying for the gorgonzola garlic bread. First thing we notice, other than the place being empty, there were these tacky red, rubber place mats from the dollar store on the tables. In the past they put bread and... More

Went to see Anthony Bourdain at the Palace and a friend recommended a restaurant called City Hall. Unfortunately, we had "No Reservations". Asked them to recommend soomething close and Cafe Biaggio was given. When we walked in, we would have thought the place was closed or abandoned if it weren't for the two locals at the bar. Walk into the... More

We had the opportunity to attempt dinner at Cafe Biaggio because our first choice was closed. Upon arrival, we encountered the much-talked-about offensive odor, but could not identify precisely what it was. A table near the bar afforded a clear view of goings on in the kitchen, which included the puzzling image of a raw chicken stuffed into a random... More

I ate there for the second time last week. Every bit as good as the first time. Order the pork butt. It sounds like nothing I would like, and unless a friend had insisted I try it I would have gotten something else. They ought to call it "roasted to perfection pork with braised greens" to make it sound like... More

They have a great chaulk board menu, that's always changing, so you don't get tired of it. Their staple dished included rigatoni-ala-vodka which is out of this world and a pork butt that just falls apart when you touch it, sooooo tender. I tell everyone this is the best place to go!

We were passing through Waterbury on a roadtrip and drove by Biaggio. We had eaten here a couple years back and remembered how good it was so decided to try again. The neighborhood looks a little rough, but its only 1 block from the mall and hospital and considering the challenges of many cities these days, it didnt put us... More

Been here a few times. Great service, the bar is ver ywell stocked and the lighter side of the menu is better than the entrees. the desserts are to die for. I have to be honest and I hate to say it but the prices are astronomical. I can't justify NYC prices for this place. The neighborhood is downright awful... More
